Smash Burgers are in my opinion the best burgers out there and easily customizable! Plus they're super easy to make and take very little time to cook!
Smash Burgers
Ingredients:
1 lbs Ground Beef (80/20)
1 Pack Cheddar, Sliced
1 Pack Bacon
1 Head Romaine
2 Ea Tomatoes
½ Cup Mayo
¼ Cup Ketchup
¼ Cup BBQ Sauce
4 Dashes Hot Sauce (Frank’s Red Hot)
1 Pack Burger Buns
TT Salt
TT Black Pepper
Method of Prep:
Begin by preparing the lettuce and tomatoes into bun sized pieces.
Then in a small bowl, add together the mayo, ketchup, bbq sauce, and hot sauce. Give that a good mix and set aside.
Following the video instructions, create a parchment circle that will be used to smash the burgers.
Form the ground beef into 4 oz balls using a scale. A pound of ground beef will get you exactly 4, 4 oz balls just in case you don’t have a scale.
Fry off the bacon in a pan, saving the grease once they're done cooking. Put the pan on the highest heat and re-add the bacon grease. Then place one ball of beef and smash it using the parchment paper and a small pot.
Once smashed, remove the parchment and season the patty with salt. Cook for 30 seconds and then flip. Season again with salt and immediately add the cheese on top to melt. Remove the patty after 30 seconds.
Assemble the burgers starting by adding the sauce to the toasted buns. Then add the lettuce, tomatoes (Make sure to salt and pepper them), patty #1, more sauce, patty #2, bacon, and the final bun.
Smush it all together so everything stays in place and enjoy!! :)
