1 day I created a “21 burger”. Onion soup mix, ranch powder, bbq sauce, beer, frozen blue cheese chunks (inside burger), lettuce, tomato, red onion, portobello mushroom cap, pepper bacon, hot capicola, ghost pepper cheese, white sharp cheddar, fried egg with cracked black pepper, thyme, hot Hungarian paprika, garlic parmesan seasoning, ketchup, horseradish, and chipotle aioli. It was a jawbreaker.

There are "thick" burgers or steakhouse style burger where the patty is really big, think like Red Robin and then there are burgers like 5 Guys that smash them down to really thin patties. I plan on making a smoked thick burger video soon!!

This was a great video. I need to purchase the flat top attachment for my Ninja Outdoor Wood Fired grill. Here's a tip I learned from a friend with regard to the mushrooms: instead of washing them (they get very slimy), you should peel them. You get all of the dirt off, without the sliminess, and the mushrooms are beautifully white. Once you try it, you'll never go back to rinsing your mushrooms. I can't wait to try your recipe. Thanks again 👍

Is the temperature control infinitely variable? Does the temperature probe version offer any advantage over a separate instant read thermometer?

If you mean by infinitely variable can you go up by a single degree at a time then the answer is no, it goes up in increments. As far as the temperature probe version one goes I am not sure, I don't have that one. I will look into it and see if it add anything and get back to you though.

Because the smoke function can be used in all modes. It would be bad to use inside lol.

Sorry just thought about this… if I wanted to TOAST some bread… for eggs and toast and I don't have a toaster (while RVing), you think this could toast some plane bread up?

I have used an air fryer as a toaster before. I think it would work. Maybe with thicker bread?

so when you use the grill setting does it still roast the pellets as you grill?

In the grill setting, it does not automatically turn. The pellets on you have to hit the Woodfire button.

Also, keep in mind that you’ll only get smoke with the lid closed.

Seems to be making better smashburgers than the AG651, where the griddle just didn't get hot enough...

It actually did a pretty good job. I do wish it got hotter but I always want things to be SCREAMING HOT!

@@DadGotThis Since the HI setting is 500 degrees, it's plenty hot. I've just begun making smash burgers myself on the Woodfire and find it perfect.

Solid cook, now do smoked burgers to 120 and then sear them off on griddle....might change your mind. Good Job!

Anyone else having trouble with the smoke pellets not staying lit?

How long are they staying lit for? Also once they do the initial light with the heavy smoke they do not put off big billowing white smoke the whole time. You actually don’t want that, it’s called “dirty smoke” and can add a bitter flavor to food. You actually want light slightly noticeable smoke throughout the cook.

@@DadGotThis Using for the 4th time now, last time the pellets didn't burn, just a small singe and went out. I am watching it burn now and can smell the Hickory. I may not have held the button long enough the last time? I saw somewhere to hold for 4-5 seconds? Love the channel!

@@realronflorida8895 when you first start the unit you do not need to hold anything. Just make sure the flame icon is lit. That means the Woodfire is active. It will say IGN after that. You should see a good amount of smoke at first after a few minutes that will die down by the time it starts the timer countdown. After a while (40 minutes to an hour, it varies) you can add more pellets and reignite them by holding the flame button for 3 seconds until it begins to blink.

Is that wax paper? It looks like parchment paper. Wax paper will melt and get wax on your food.

Why on earth they chose the stupid ribbed base as the default option is beyond me. Flat is just better for everything.

I think they figure it is more like a "grill" with the ribbed base. I think I agree with you that the flat top would be a better option.

@@DadGotThis yeah those ridged grills do make superficial barbecue marks but it's all aesthetic and merely gives less surface area for a nice crust on a steak, and a more annoying surface to clean. It also obviously restricts what you can effectively cook on there.
