Thanks for this excellent video, Steve. Regarding timing of the wrist movement, are you releasing from the top while stomping down or while extending the left leg after stomping down?

Yes, absolutely! The stomp is milliseconds in the lead though!

You say not to bend your right knee and actually extend your right leg. But I seem to get more ground force if I start out with bent knees or even squat a bit more before pushing off my right leg. I’m not saying that’s right, I don’t hit far at all. lol but what could I be doing wrong?

If you were on force plates. I think It would show that the push off trail foot is stealing ground force pressure from the transition, where pressure should start moving forward and down from full trail leg exttension. This then results in not enough presure exerting ground force into the front foot, so you can't do the second part which is pushing up. Steve's 2 part drill without the club should give you the feel!
