In this pinned comment I will address FAQs and common accusations: Q: "How do we know these CPUs are level 9?" A: Watch this video that shows all the replays used for this video, which includes details that show the CPUs' level kzbin.info/www/bejne/gIDSXpttqZWtoc0 Q: "How long did this take/how many tries did these take?" A: This video took almost a month to do, with my first recording attempt starting in early January 2019 and the video going live on January 31st. As for how many tries it varies, some were done in a few tries, some took quite the while, while this could have been done a lot faster if I prioritized finishing this ASAP over getting as much stage variety as possible (for example Incineroar on Kalos was one of the longest to get, while he would have been gotten a lot faster on a conventional bad AI stage). A: The clips were ordered so that the video was appropriately paced in regards to match length, series/game representation, stage repetition, and clip quality. If the clips were ordered by character order or alphabetical the pacing would have been way off. Q: "Why was Luigi Player 2?" A: Player port doesn't matter, so I play in the P2 port as Luigi is associated with being the perpetual Player 2. Q: "Then why was Luigi Player 1 against Mario/DK/Link?" A: I accidentally had Luigi as Player 1 against Mario, DK, and Link, as I was doing the characters in CSS order and initially forgot about doing the Player 2 thing, however the ports don't matter and I only have Luigi as P2 for thematic flare, so I left those matches as is as I liked how they turned out. Q: "You can set your tag as CPU, that is just you playing with a CPU tag!" A: The CPU indicator tag is not only of a bigger font than a player-made tag, it is greyed out and their portrait is also greyed out, while if it was a player it would be colored in. Q: "Why was Final Smash Meter on against Samus and Dark Samus?" A: I accidentally had the final smash meter on when recording the match for Samus and Dark Samus, however they had no effect on the matches and would have only made me lose anyway if they got their final smash, farther decreasing my chance of winning, so I figured those matches are still valid and left them in. Q: "This is training mode, you can control the CPUs!" A: If this was training mode, you wouldn't have actual matches going on, and wouldn't have things like the match countdown/entrances, stock counts, the timer, or the match ending when someone died. Q: "Why did the CPU Link just ran off and Up-B off the stage?" A: The AI is programmed to hard avoid the cars on Port Town, and when doing so the momentum from Link's Up-B carried him too far off the stage. This carried over from Smash 4 too, where I beat Link in the Smash 4 version in the exact same way. Q: "Luigi was drifting/DIing at 2:50" A: That was momentum from Mega Man ledge trumping him, you don't just come to a halt in midair after a ledge trump, and you can observe this being consistent with all other ledge trumps to Luigi in the video. Q: "What happened with Sheik at 9:03?" A: Water slows your knockback/momentum, and Sheik's dair wasn't strong enough to push Luigi through the water, while the momentum from her dair that close to the water was hard enough that she went through to the bottom blastzone. Q: "Why did Dedede and Pikachu die first at 4:11 and 7:10?" A: Their ECB happened to touch the bottom blastzone before Luigi's, either because they reach lower or their running animation pushed it down lower.
