Very nice. I wonder what all the bosses would look like if you could start off at 9.9 intensity off the bat but maybe it's for the better that it scales up.

Rathalos would have been a serious problem for sure at 9.9, and any extra difficulty on Dracula would have been a big obstacle too. I took a quick look at the bosses in the WOL boss rush on hard after doing this (while having a level 99 Akuma spirit equipped and no skills to maximize damage without any movement or lag bonuses), and there are some big differences for sure. Galleom, Ganon, and Giga Bowser don't change much, but Marx is no longer a pushover, while Rathalos and especially Dracula appeared to be very tough to beat without damage (Dracula outright does extra attacks he doesn't do here, and form 1 has very nasty attacks to avoid when you don't kill him quickly). Not quite a 1:1 comparison to what them all at 9.9 would be like (WOL is balanced around spirits and skills for one, which makes the lack of a proper boss rush mode even more aggravating), but it gives an idea to it.

I have actually outright died in practice runs before from being body blocked and missing the ledge in that exact scenario, luckily it didn't happen this time.

I wish this game had a proper Boss Battles mode, as well as having challenging bosses not named Master Hand and Crazy Hand. Regardless of the amount of attempts this took... The other bosses just are not on the same level as the hands are in terms of difficulty and it kinda sucks.

I agree about the lack of a Boss Battles mode, that is my biggest disappointment with Ult for sure. I disagree about the difficulty of the other bosses though, the Hands together being way harder than the other bosses was the case in Brawl too and Ult's bosses are a lot harder to no damage than the Brawl bosses (though it does seem even at their hardest difficulty, the Ult bosses don't have the kill power of the Brawl bosses, who could have outright OHKO attacks and regularly could kill you under 100% while dealing a ton of damage with every attack, but I suppose that was an intentional part of the balancing with Ult bosses being less rigid in pattern and having harder to avoid attacks).

@@OmegaTyrant My issue with the other bosses not being as hard as the hands mainly comes down to certain characters fighting those bosses instead at the end of their classic modes. Maybe they could've been buffed up a bit for those characters' routes?

@@ReynLynxPSI The blatant imbalance between the characters' Classic routes is certainly a fair criticism. I think an ideal solution would have been that all of the characters normally ended with one of the other bosses (which would have also added extra variety), and then the Hands would serve as a secret extra fight if you beat the boss at 9.9 without dying at any point prior, much like how previous Classic modes worked where Crazy Hand would join in if you won fast enough, Master Core got extra phases in Smash 4, and even Melee's Adventure locked Giga Bowser away as an extra fight that required beating it on normal and above fast enough to get. The current setup also sucks in that you can never fight both Hands together with some characters, as they only appear individually in WOL.

Yeah this Dracula run went near perfectly, it is really hard to kill second form Dracula that fast without him just bitch slapping you.

I dont know why but 1:31-1:36 made me chuckle. Demonic seeds fall from the sky and Sephiroth just casually walking between them put an unintentional smile on my face. Also this is an amazing run from second 1 to the end. Still unsure why we cant do a boss rush with any character outside of New Game+ in World of Light or the final Galeem/Dharkron fight.

Those seeds can be a trolly move, sometimes they just drop in a way where you are boned, but often you can just walk harmlessly between them like that. And no proper boss rush mode is my biggest disappointment in Ult, I think there might be a mod that makes one? If not, I might eventually try doing the WOL ending boss rush with no damage (though I would at least use the Akuma spirit, because without spirits even if I could do it, a single successful run would take forever).

@@OmegaTyrant Since Smash Ultimate added the ability to re-match any spirit at any time around Fighters Pass 2 IIRC, it baffles me they didn't do this for the boss battle spirits. I have problems with spirits in general (like the inability to use support spirits by themselves without a primary one), and not doing boss battles via the spirit collection menu is a big one

@@spacesoccercowboy6091 Being able to rematch the individual bosses at any time would have certainly been handy, like you could do it in Brawl without issue (which is part of how I got so good at Brawl's Boss Battles). Another factor making the Hands so hard is that you can't easily practice them; you have to play through all of Classic to get one shot at them, and you can't just kill yourself to get another chance, because even if you use a ticket to keep the difficulty from going down, the state of the match is still the same once you resume. Because of that I never even came close to no damaging them in my practice runs, and just tried to learn them on the fly in real runs.

I thought Smash Ultimate basically just made no damage runs in boss battles almost impossible, but when I saw this video, that all changed. Overall, no damage runs in boss battles is extremely difficult, but still possible if you learn their attacks very precisely.

I struggle to get 9.9 with dlc characters especially pyra/mythra and seph cause I die one the last boss and the game gives me 9.8

The Hands are tough even when trying to beat them normally, much tougher than all the other bosses. Some attack patterns you're pretty much screwed in, and you often need to go offstage to have the best chance at avoiding their attacks, which not all characters can do well.
