The faction is pretty interesting, but I fear it might come short in terms of power, since its cards dont exactly help you get to the point when they become powerful and if you exclude the abilities that come in play when you are in the lead, the faction is pretty underwhelming. Now, you probably playtested it with some friends so I suppose you know more about the actual power level than I do, but it comes off to me as underpowered. Also the long reliever has a weird wording: is the draw a card effect also part of the special? If no then why not put it before even mentioning the special effect? If yes then maybe change the effect so that you draw a card at the end of the current turn instead of your own, because cards in smash up usually don't remember their effect more than one turn after they leave play, and this overall seems like the kind of complexity that isnt really in theme in smash up. That aside, I'm glad for you that your team won world's :) and the cards seem fun in general.

I describe this faction as support - meant to help you keep the wins. If they could easily get the wins, then the RNG factor would make them too strong. Long reliever's special gets you two cards - but it takes a while for it to trigger. Compare to Samurai Chan. Chan gives you one card deferred, but works even when destroyed. Long reliever doesn't have that benefit, but gets you an extra card that avoids the discard as well. It doesn't trigger until the special happens, but once triggered, the effect gets carried out at the end of the same turn. See Always Get Our Man for a similar temporary deferred effect (still same turn)

I would love to see AEG come out with more sports-related factions. By the way, I have the Royals less than an hour from me, and they're now 6 years removed from a World Series title (the same year Back to the Future predicted the Cubs would win, only to be a full year off), so I feel you.

Aeg just announced a tenth anniversary surprise at a press release for smash up. Could you do a video speculating on possible changes?

I don't know that I can, actually. I know things that have been discussed at varying points which would influence any speculation I came up with, and I haven't been removed enough to cross those off the list. This is something I probably have to sit out, unfortunately, lest I say something wrong
