This worked out perfectly! Thank you for this - I have added it to my menu of go-to recipes! I put some Avocado oil on wax paper and dipped the bottom of the glass every other time or more - as needed. The potatoes smashed perfectly and did not stick at all. I also made notes to change the seasoning with each recipe - Thyme, cayenne, or both. So many ideas. REALLY WONDERFUL!

I discovered that when smashing with a cup if you do it in stages they smash more evenly and they don't get stuck. Example just push down lightly at the first time and a little more each time to you get your desired thickness.

I spray a little Pam on the bottom of the glass. If the potatoes begin to stick again after a few smashes, just scrape the potato off with a butter knife, spray again and smash away. 😋

One lady I watched make these on a KZbin video cut an X into the potatoes then smashed them. It seamed to help smash them better if that helps. I am actually trying your smash potato recipe right now! First time making them ever :)

toss the rosemary in the water with the potatoes so that they have a crispy outside but are tender on the inside and will help avoid burning

I think better add seasoning into oil and brush on potatoes thts better maybe I didn't tried yet but in my mind it will be good
