I have helped thousands of people pass their B2 First and C1 Advanced exams at no cost, and I would LOVE to keep it that way. Of course, I still have to maintain a full time job while running this channel, and BELIEVE ME, I spend the majority of my free time writing, recording, editing and publishing videos. I love doing this, but I would love it even more if I could do it for a living! If every student that PASSED their exams bought one beer for Bruce I’d be able to do this full time. That would be MARVELLOUS! So, if you’ve PASSED your B2 First exam, and feel that SMASH English really helped, please consider donating here: www.buymeacoffee.com/SMASHEnglish This is not an obligation. One of the fantastic things about SMASH English is that it is free for everyone that needs it! This will not change. However, if you do feel you can say thanks with a little bit of money then that’s fantastic. Thank you all! Toby

Toby I LIKE YOUR NEW HAIRSTYLE YOU LOOK SO HANDSOME. Wait I have a word: so ✨pulchritudinous✨. I've been watching your videos for the past couple of months preparing for my B2 exam. When I saw the thumbnail of today's video, I was like "Wait what about the poor Monica ?" But YOU HANDLED THAT REALLY WELL WITH THE HAIR CURLER TOO. You are truly a lifesaver Toby, you've helped me so much that I started actually enjoying learning grammar LOL. Wishing you all the good :). Here's a clover for you 🍀

2:10 Why does Monica use this grammar in her speech? used to used to be ( I can't understand how it is working.)
@SMASHEnglish8 ай бұрын
It is a structure that does not exist. It is Monica trying to use complex grammar and being an idiot! Don't do it :-)

If I ask a question in the examination because I don't know a word that the examiner asked (e.g., Are you a gregarious person? and I don't know the word gregarious), I will lose marks for doing so.
@SMASHEnglish9 ай бұрын
Yes you will lose marks for this. However a word like gregarious is extremely unlikely to appear in a speaking exam. At least from the interlocutor, anyway. Your partner may use it to try and sound smart 😂 IF your partner uses a word that you don’t understand and you need to understand it in order to respond to them, then definitely ask them what it means - in English of course!

Hey man, just thank you for your entirely playlists about the B2 First Certificate! It will help me a lot! Do you think a 48/70 is a good score for Reading and Use of English? I am practicing to do better, but I wanted your opinion about it :)
