Nice video mate 👍🏻 As a top pennel a.bent eye (pennel hook) would be easier and less damage on the line ..👍🏻

saltwater lure fishing thanks for your comment mate , iv used pennel hooks in the past but never had a problem from the eyes straight as the line is so strong it takes a lot to damage the line an lose fish but each to your own to be fair mate

@@SMASHFISHING yeh I used it all the time when I was younger but after a few big blondes I had to change trace as the top hook slowly slides and kinks the mono .. scared me enough to change my thought process ....and start using something else to keep it in position... Sounds crazy but the thin wire (telephone wire) wrapped round the shank is awesome Stops kinks Doesn't damage line Doesn't slip And if you have larger fish they can't bite through the mono if they are hooked on the pennel 🎣👍🏻👍🏻
