Sure would be cool if he'd put out the DVD of this concert already. Been waiting for like a decade now

Its highly likely that its going to be included with the Machina reissue next year.

I doubt this will ever be released. cuz it never meant the actual end of SP. maybe the end of the third incarnation. but never the end of the initial SP, which is billy corgan. sad, but true.
@tompopolo88019 жыл бұрын
Robert Mitzenheim This show and the United Center show were the last 2 shows of the tour. The United Center wasn't filmed but this was. I think we could expect it in someway.

@@ianbrown9547 was it the 4-5 hour video?
@tompopolo880110 жыл бұрын
The final show was about 5 hours. After this they played an incredible version of Silverfuck that lasted about 40 minutes.
@hippoo259 жыл бұрын
Tom Popolo 40 mins?! WTF
@tompopolo88019 жыл бұрын
Yeh it's fucking sick! The bootleg has only 25 minutes of it because the dude ran out of tape, but the full version is 40 minutes.

if i recall, they gave out a cd that was a recording of their first show at the metro.. i got billy and james to sign it afterwards.. pretty spiffy, then went down to the dance club underneath and danced with some girl who i think was james' cousin.. fun times

@Billy Siamese: Billy Corgan definitely broke down crying. It was towards the end. Someone came out , put a hand on his back and helped him off stage. Very sad, but still grateful to be there.

I've been waiting 20 years for this whole gig to be released. It will never be released. There is some problem somewhere either with regards to copyright with the Metro Club or with the tapes being fucked, and only the "Ode to No one" and a couple of other clips surviving. There is literally no other reason as to why the whole 3 hour gig has not been released on any format for over 20 years. Why has Billy never spoken about its non release?? It's so fucking weird...
@marcmugzy13092 жыл бұрын
Billy's talked about it multiple times. He doesn't own the rights and the people who do wont release it because they don't think it will sell enough to justify it. When he gets the rights back one day he will try find someone to release it.
@plume...2 жыл бұрын
@@marcmugzy1309 Well this is bizarre timing for your comment, I was only thinking of this gig a few hours ago! Do you have any links where I could read about him talking about it by any chance?
@marcmugzy13092 жыл бұрын
@@plume... You would need to go back through his instagram account. He has done heaps of live q&A's. Couldn't say specifically where but it comes up often and hes been over it multiple times.

How am I just seeing this video now? This sounds like it was from a broadcast? The only video I have seen from the original “final” show is “Ode to No One” from the Greatest Hits DVD. I am happy to say that I got to see the 2nd last show but sad I couldn’t see this one. Glad SP is back though.

I LOVE the pumpkins...I feel it shouldve been left at this. Last truly great record was Mellon Collie and that was a long time ago. Zwans album was better than anything SP V2 has put out sadly.

If Jimmy, James, Darcy don't want be in the band who cares. Saying that Billy has no right to use the name Smashing Pumpkins, is like saying a man no longer has a right to use his name after a divorce.

He *says* it's the last song, but they actually came back and did a 26-minute version of "Silverfuck" after this.

this is really such an awesome performance, it's too bad this wasn't the final song of the show, it would have been a great way to end it, but maybe i'm saying this because I'm not such a big fan of Silverfuck, especially a 30+ minutes one.
@HM3Giggles7913 жыл бұрын
Poor Billy...his baby is literally crumbling. James couldn't give a fuck less. Yea Billy had resurected the "Smashing Pumpkins" but we all know (as well as Billy) that the Smashing Pumpkins from the 90s cannot be replaced no matter how hard anyone tries.I do wished they'd forgive and make up tho & do a huge reunion concert. But D'arcy needs serious help 1st! Love the Smashing Pumpkins forever!!
