It’s a no brainer coming from an iPad mini 5 to get the 7 like I have done. I think you have to appreciate the small form factor if you’re weighing up getting it between an iPad Air with the M2 chip. I was debating it but I know from having an older iPad Air that the mini is just easier to hold consuming content in bed or on the couch etc.

Hi! I'm glad to meet a fellow Wild Rift fan. I have a question for you. I currently play WR every evening on my iPad Air 4 (2020). A few weeks ago, I was considering buying an iPad Pro 12.9 (M2) for its 120Hz refresh rate, excellent speakers, and large, vibrant display. However, today I've dramatically changed my mind: I'm thinking about selling my iPad Air 4 and getting an iPad Mini 7 instead. Why? Although the iPad Pro excels in every aspect, I feel that even my Air 4 is too big and heavy, let alone the iPad Pro. My only concern is that the iPad Mini might be too small for Wild Rift after using the Air. Have you had experience playing on both a 10-13 inch iPad and the 8.3-inch Mini? What are your thoughts on this? And one more question about Wild Rift. A long time ago, when the iPad mini 6 was released, the Wild Rift game had black frames because of the non-standard aspect ratio. Is this problem gone on iPad mini 6 and 7? p.s. I also have a Macbook Air M1 and a Mac mini M1 with a 28" display. So no matter which new iPad I choose, I'm still getting rid of my iPad Air. p.s.s. Jhin the best!

Love it, traded in my iPad Pro 11” M1 for this one. I don't care for the so-called Pro features I never used. Supports the the Apple Pencil Pro. It did take a bit to get used to the two step process to login with finger print as opposed to facial recognition.

Traded my M2 12.9 for the Mini 7 and couldn’t be happier. The portability is crazy and made it more useful to me. M2 was too big for what I wanted to use an iPad for. Mini 7 while be with me daily.

Portability is everything for this. I use this so much more than 11 inch. Gaming has been great too. Use a Gamesir telescopic con and its retro machine. Fantastic to take notes on too. Definitely needs amoled and at least 90 hz but I use this device a lot due to it portability. Fits in so many simple bags

I would say the 256 GB is necessary in case of having many apps / large files / occasional video editing / gaming. The system and default apps take almost 20 GB that leaves you around 100 GB on the base model. That is not too much for the above scenarios these days.

Jelly scrolling in portrait is still there. Tested the mini 7 in the Apple Store before opening the box so took it back along with the pencil. M2 air has jelly scrolling but in landscape mode. Hence, save up for an M4 11 pro, far superior for a few hundred dollars/pounds more. Get education discounts if you can. Use an iPhone 15 or 16 pro max and maybe even an M1 or M2 11 in pro for a complementary set up. I have a 512 gb iPhone 15 pro max and a 2Tb M1 11 in iPad Pro. I film with the iPhone to work alongside pro camera gear. My set up has no motion blur, far higher quality speakers, brighter screen, and is better for technical consumption too. I don’t play games but do need a high quality screen for AV, work and engineering drawing plus notes. Again the larger form factor of an 11 in pro wins for that too.
