As usual, great content. Thanks for sharing. Would you be willing to do a video for retail traders who may have some experience trading, but are now starting over trying to trade your way? How do we use the data from our previous trading, or do we throw it all out, to see what we might or might not be good at? How do we eliminate previously learned bad habits?

We find that independent traders find a few things that were missing and apply it to what they have learned. For example, they may not have been using RVOL, started, and now see much better results. Or for example they never used VWAP, now do, and see much better results. Generally independent traders have some goodness in their trading it just needs more variables and better application to work on a pro level.

It would be beneficial to the core educational structure of our community if you additionally focused on two or three niche specific systems per quarter, individually releasing the system's specific content on a schedule bases.. The direct dialogue was extremely powerful, giving the speaker additional credibility, which was deployed properly as it did feel like you were speaking to an audience in an actual classroom . Thank you Mike

As a novice intraday trader on the Futures Market, what's your recommendation on how many trades should be taken per day? Thank you.
@etfremd
@etfremd 3 жыл бұрын
Risk should depend on the size of your account. I would only start trading after showing consistency in the sim and the psychology of treating the sim as if it is your own money. Trade real like you trade sim money. This is like batting practice in the big leagues. You swing the same at batting practice as you swing at pitches in the game. Dont think the sim is below you as a trader. Treat the numbers as the numbers both in the sim and live accounts. It just a number. Make one good trade! How much risk? 2% of your account or bump it down to 1% to start. So with $25k PDT account its $250 to $500. If you hit a stop at $500 drop to $250 the next day. Two green days and go back to $500 risk or 2%. Share size appropriately for your level of risk and ATR. Only grow your risk once you double your account. So you can only grow risk once your account is double now $50k go back to 2% and 1%.

If I get into a basic pullback or breakout trade with a target of 1:4 risk reward that starts to go my way, and I'm up 2:1 in it, but I notice the trade is now losing momentum and might not reach the target, and may even come back to stop me out of the trade. Do I hold onto it anyway, or be happy with the 2:1 profit and take it while I can? This is something I really struggle with.

hi mike, I'm a 22 year old graduate in London, want to become a trader, do students have to have a breadth of experience / knowledge of trading to some extent before joining your programs or any prop trading firm? or is it best as a novice to join a program and learn the ropes? since they have a structure to their program

Hello guys! The most helpful and educated series of videos would be revising bad trades and mistakes your best traders make. The most interesting trading books or videos are not about how another guy just won a million dollars, yet about million dollars he lost and learned from it. That kind of videos might help dozens of new traders to not make mistakes that might potentially lead to such loses. Good example: What I Learned Losing a Million Dollars by Jim Paul Cheers! ;-)
