Consistently the biggest problem in my trading is getting out too soon, reacting to price. Nice way of using stats to set target goals. Thanks.

Maybe the SMB team are reading my thoughts/wishes. This video was a concert of multiple prior key SMB teachings/concepts into one 30 min one-stop-shop video!!! For me, I got to build on what else to catch on the tape (thx Bella noting the speed of tape moving in chunks rather than a few cents), the annotations around each entry/exits on the chart, including sizing and predefined lines. I liked hearing the contrast between the traders too. One was more comfortable with sticking to what works for him, i.e. recognising that sizing in might not be the best for his style and so he would just add heavier size. Like having favorites, I'm quickly finding more and more of these videos are replacing the former of my "fave SMB video of all time" title. This one is the new champ. I better get back to DNA training now lol....but these are just so good to watch!!! Keep it up and till next time when a new SMB video becomes a favorite :)

Thanks for this video. It was incredibly helpful as I tend to have a similar issue of pulling winning trades far too early. Great content.

Did you calculate the implied move based on the cost of a straddle before the breakout? If not - what's a great way to find the implied move?

at around 5:40, how was the AVG high vs ATR used to calculate ~3.1 pts?

This was epic, great insight and definitely implementing all of this into my trades! Thanks guys! Ya'll are a bunch of GOATs! Quick questions: 1) How are the ATRs determined? I'm able to find AN ATR but not multiple, mine ranges 0 - 1. 2) Are the black "asked" in the thousands @24:35? Don't want to assume. :D
@smbcapital3 жыл бұрын
1. you should be able to find that on your platform - might be a study you can add to charts and 2. yes those are thousands

I think you can reward yourself better with this set up if you add "majority" of your position where they added their "interest" amount. In the set up they are looking for the higher low but I think they undermine the value of that instance, maybe add a bit more than just 25%. It would also be interesting to "variabilize" the higher low instance where they can get more confirmations on whether or not to add more than just 25% on that part of the set up.

All the time. Literally weekly and I don't know anyone personally to talk to about it. I'm self taught and it's the last most frustrating thing to get past. I trade options so I'm torn most times. I make good money but then it hits ridiculous levels and it kills me🤣 like turning 200 into 1200 but then watching it hit 3500. Or using 800 and making 5400 but then watching it hit 11000 by eow. Sounds like fantasy numbers but they arent. That's what is killing me. I do ok now profit wise and can spot a setup but not afraid to cut losses. But if I can figure out how to hold longer it'll be life changing money for my wife and daughter.

Just recently. Got QS 75 strike calls last week. Monday it opened up and started rallying. I sold at like 80ish. It came up from the 50s tho. I made 430 bux on my original 155. So sold for 5.85. then the damn thing hit 100 by EOD and next day 130 shortly after open. That is like 6500 bucks 1 call. I took 430🤣. But it was 400ish % return so don't know how to feel.

Dear SMB team,i am an active intraday trader for last 6 months, the biggest hurdle that i see in my trading is that i keep thinking of the lost opportunities both during the trading hours and after trading hours and in doing so ,i waste a lot of time. I keep thinking if i had entered at that moment... Can you suggest some methodology to overcome this problem.
@smbcapital3 жыл бұрын
try sticking to your setups that work best for you and when you aren't seeing anything work on other parts of your trading - prepping for the next trade, reviewing tape, going though your trading results, getting a good workout in. You don't have to trade the whole day!
