I've watched a few hours of KZbin videos on trading for the past year and a half, and this was the best information I have come across... there's a lot here, so I'll probably watch it 10 times! I know each of the setups you talked about, but knowing which setups to take at a particular time of day is going to help me tremendously. No other videos give you a good and clear explanation of the different types of scalps, and now I will be able to track each one to know what works best for me, which is exactly what I've been looking for. Thank you guys so much for providing this free and valuable information! ❤

He just typified the Higher EV across the Day for Scalpers. Resumed our homework Big time there. Facts from experienced methodologies that its used in the Industry. Ive been struggling between Momentum, Scalps and holding times, until i specified more in detail every single Set Up and strategy, including the Timing as in here presented. Super helpful to my Process. All the Anxiety, Fomo, Greed/Fear comes to have this in place BEFORE a trade is taken. Gem content!! 👌

I think the time of day is the most underrated nuance of trading it really impacts everything from stop and target placement to whether or not to stay in the trade or even if you should enter in the first place. The various session opens and closes Asia/EU/USA and how each market confirms or rejects a theme at these times with price action is so powerful.

This is an actually very advanced video, I have run into many type of those trades just by trial and error, my personal experience is that it is easiest to trade momentum at market open, but one must get the direction right or sufer massive losses. In my experience this can be easily avoided by just looking at premarekt direction and energy. The worst time to trade is during the mid day chop where price tend to fluctuates wildly and you will be face with constant iceburgs that would move many points in a second. However I think it is still possble to do trading during this time, don't look at the 1 minute chart, combine with 1 min wiht 5 min and see the overall energy flow on the 5 min's price action, I like to use the MACD, you can really see the slope of the lines on that indicator and compare that to the actual price action, is it flattening, while the price is trying to make a higher high/low etc. Once enough energy build up you can have a massive sling shot in price movements. My biggest problem is not having enough patience to wait for this set up and do too much over trading and get chop up. And at the end of the day, it can be obvious what I did wrong. I try to learn from it but the next day I make the same mistakes all over again lol, but I am getting better at it. The find hour of the market is very similar to the beginning where you can actual have real trades coming in and have some kind of price trend momentum. I make most of my money during market open and close. I am in the process of perfecting my mid day trades. Thanks for this video and putting what I know in actual words and terms. I would love if you can do a video showing each of those examples.

In general it's very specific per trader ofcourse but there must be logic behind it. I've learned a ton by your videos and that question does stick in my mind ✌🏼📝

Hi SMB, I’m really enjoying your channel. Another great clip with loads of information! If you had to choose, in your opinion, which of the above scalp setups typically provides the best EV, most volatility, and so largest percentage move for the trade? I’m guessing it’s the fade scalps on the Open? Many thanks

Trading premarket should not be the norm. You can only place market orders. I traded smallcaps alone and added forex to my day. Forex always gives you opportunities. Never rely on one asset IF your strategy works on various assets.

Nothing wrong with being a specialist in a small number of names and you can easily run into issues if you're trading too many names and pairs. Also you can totally use limit orders premarket. Who do you think you're buying from if you hit market buy? It's a seller on a limit offer...

For the people complaining about them not showing charts. It just shows you are really inexperienced or just lazy. You all want everything spoon fed to you. This is what separates those traders that will be successful and those that won’t. First, most of what this guy is talking about is really for those that already have some experience trading. If you do, you don’t need any charts. You’ll be able to understand exactly what he is talking about, except that sometimes things have to be put into perspective in order to say “oh yes I’ve seen that before” and then you’ll start to focus on that. Second, if you think you need charts. Just open up a dam chart software, pause every time he explains a setup and go through charts and see if you can find those setups. They happen very often in large cap stocks. But if you’re lazy and don’t want to do any work, no amount of KZbin videos will help you be a successful trader.

@Dev Firstly it is extremely hard to make money buying option, so best option is leave option buying and go to option selling. But if your capital is limited then option buying may turn out the best option to scale it. How? Only scalp deep ITM options, I assume you are trading from India; in India even deep ITM options have huge liquidity. Few extremely good price targets are volatility based or risk-reward based. Stop looking for those nonsense 10x trades, start looking for consistency and compounding and once you have scaled your account move to option selling. Good Luck, I am trying to help because i was at same point as you are; some time ago. If you want to talk about trading, we can talk on Instagram, leave your Instagram in comment reply.

Hey Dev, good question! This is my take on it, hope it helps! Firstly, it's important to note that attempting to consistently buy at the low of the day and sell at the high of the day is not a reliable or realistic trading approach. It is difficult to predict future market movements accurately. Now, let's address your questions: 1. Do you have a clear and well-defined trading setup? 2. Do you have a well-defined entry signal? If your answer is "Yes" to these questions, we can move on to discussing the exit signal. *1. What is the win rate of this strategy? How often does it succeed?* - If the win rate is higher than 50%, you don't necessarily need to achieve a 5R (risk-to-reward ratio) trade every time. For instance, if your win rate is 80%, even a 1R trade can be considered successful. - If your win rate is above 50%, it is advisable to focus on smaller profits within the range of 1R to 2R (1R being the initial risk taken on the trade). - If your win rate is below 50%, you would require trades that yield more than 1R in order to be profitable. To achieve this, it becomes essential to thoroughly study your trading setup to determine its average profit potential. If your setup only provides a 1R profit 40% of the time, further analysis and adjustments to your setup may be necessary. ---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Think of trading like Betting. You make bets, putting a specific amount of money at stake for a potential profit. If you have a clear understanding of what you're betting on, the risks involved, the potential profits, and the success rate, you can achieve success in trading. To measure your trading success, focus on how well you followed your plan. And to be successful in Trading, you need to be successful every single day. It's like when you touch something really hot and instinctively pull your hand away. You don't think about it, your physical body just wants to get rid of pain. Well, the same goes for your mind. If you're feeling sad, you do something you enjoy because your mind wants to get rid of this unpleasant feeling. Now, let's say you had a plan, executed it, and had a loss. If your mind is unhappy, it will make you do something that can make it happy. In this case, removing that losing trade would make your mind happy, so it will make you want to trade more because one trade can potentially turn your bad day into a good one. But here's the thing: your mind does what it knows. It thinks that trading more can make a losing day profitable because deep down, it doesn't fully grasp that every trade carries a risk. Trading means taking a risk for a chance at profit. If your mind fully understands that to avoid more losses, you should call it a day because trading more means more risk, you won't overtrade. -------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- There are 5 stages of trading according to me. 1. Analysis 2. Preparation 3. Execution 4. Evaluation 5. Improvement Imagine you're on a diet and you can only eat protein. Now you've gone to a buffet. You will see dessert, you will also see snacks and drinks. But your plan is to eat protein. 1. ANALYSIS - Premarket You are on a diet and you can only eat protein, this is analysis. You analyse stocks, you study charts, you analyse key levels, your study news. You do whatever your system requires you to do. 2. PREPARATION - Premarket You prepare yourself to eat protein, you get a plate, fork and knives etc. This is preparation. You prepare your final watchlist, your write down your gameplan, your prepare your softwares, meditation and anything that your system requires. 3. EXECUTION - Trading Hours Now you skip eveything and just eat protein. This is execution. You had a plan, you wait for your entry signal. If you get your entry signal, you enter. You get your exit signal, you exit. Now, imagine you're trading, and you had a big loss on a trade that you planned. Then, you spot another great opportunity that you think can make up for your losses. But here's the thing: going after this new setup means going off track. Even if it works out well, you should stick to your trading plan. If you believe the setup is worth it, just make a note of it and study it later. During trading hours, you can't do anything that's not part of your plan. If you like something while trading, jot it down and review it later. During trading hours, you can't do anything which is not planned. You can only take trades that were planned. If you think there were good setup, study them later and make sure to implement them in future trading gameplans. 4. EVALUATION - After trading Did you want to snack on something? Or did you actually ate some fries instead of beef? This is evaluation. Evaluate how well did you follow your plan. Did you see something that you liked and wanted to enter? Deeply study that, understand what did you like and why? Was there anything you wanted to do which was not planned? Why did you want to do that? Did you think something after seeing something that made you feel in a certain way and then you acted in a certain way which you knew is detrimental for your trading but you still did it. Well, study it. What was the situation that triggered your thoughts. Your thoughts give rise to emotions and unpleasant emotions make us do something that is usually not good for trading. Evaluate your analysis, preparation and execution. Go into extreme details about everything. Make sure to find all the negatives and positives of your trading day. 5. IMPROVEMENT Now once you've found your problems, you need to find practical solutions for your problems. And, turn these problems into your goals. Start everyday with one goal and work towards implementing that solution until this problem is fixed. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- So, the bottom line is this: to succeed in trading, it's not just about making more profit. What really matters is having a profitable trading system, making a daily plan, executing it without mistakes, evaluating and improving. You need to be successful every day to be successful in trading. And success doesn't mean only having green days. It means following your plan and executing it flawlessly. That's the real success.
