Scott Martin , thank you for being the father you are and teaching kids to fish like this. It's so awesome. My dad was the same way to me and that is the exact reason I am sitting here watching your show and fish religiously. Every kid should get to experience the outdoors like this . It's so great . And you are blessed to do what you do. I'd give anything to do it for a living. I'm sure gunna have fun teaching my daughter all of this. Thanks again! -Jake

The very first Peacock I caught was back in 1983..This was even before the FWC introduced Peacocks to south Fl. It was aquarium enthusiast,people like you and me who had fish tanks and released peacocks into our local lakes and canals. It's people like us who deserve the credit for introducing these fish. It was later the FWC realized this and introduced some themselves to take credit and say they introduced them when it was actually aquarium enthusiast. This why we have other non natives such as Tilapia,Red Devil cichlids,Jaquar cichlids, Acara cichlids,Jewel cichlids,Mayan cichlids,rare catfish ,Pacu, etc. Aquarium enthusiast started it all, including the introduction of the Peacock bass. We would have plenty peacocks now even without the FWC. Just look at the amount of Mayan cichlids we have,the FWC did not stock them?

+Paulpro PP late reply, but sometimes thats not always that great...Take a look at snakehead. Some idiots released them into the lakes and they rapidly reproduced and now they're killing the environment

Jacob S The Largemouth Bass fishing where Peacock bass now live will never be the same. Just about any canal back in the 80's you could walk along the bank and with a CAN OF LIVE WORMS pretty much hand feed the Bass. Some really nice Bass too, no carp back then either,the canals were really wild (and more gators back then).Every 10-20 feet you walk there would be a nice Bass most them up against the bank. Sight fishing with live worms was how we fished back then for Bass,i'm glad to been able to experience something that once was and will never be again

Hi Scott, First off, I would like to say I appreciate what you are doing with your show and representing Hendry County as well as taking the time to show us all what really matters and that's family. I would really love to take my family and catch some peacock bass here in south florida as well, just have no idea where to go. Im here in Clewiston as well and don't even no where to start as looking for them in the canals of palm beach. Can you give me any kind of general location or directions on where to start. Thank You

Scott, why do you have a Silverado 2500HD Duramax instead of a Silverado 1500 6.2L V8?
@trevorkraker192
@trevorkraker192 9 жыл бұрын
He's always pulling that boat and he is constantly traveling across the country fishing. Diesel pulls better and last longer and better mpg and the 2500 3/4 ton chassis and suspension would be much better than a half ton for towing and hauling.

Marcus Young I saw that as well, BASS's major sponsor is Toyota, do not believe they offer a 3/4 ton diesel.
@willbalton6671
@willbalton6671 9 жыл бұрын
Marcus Young It's all just personal preference, any 1/2 ton V8 will pull any bass boat without any problems. If you can afford it, or you have the choice through a sponsor there is no reason not to go with the bigger truck especially if you are constantly traveling.
