Finally Tuning my 2023 Subaru WRX!

Finally tossing my 2023 Subaru WRX onto the dyno. While Josh is in town and we still have some time on the Dynop this is the perfect time to do so! This car will not make crazy power or anything like that. this is my daily driver so we just need a tune on it. The car has an ETS J pipe, Perrin FMIC, Perrin Intake, and AWE Catback. With the dyno not reading 100% spot on we are guessing that it makes around 330-350WHP which is a great number for a daily. it's not crazy loud and feels great!

Just can't ignore how easy it is to get power out of this engine for relatively little money. This is the saving grace of this generation. A slightly nicer front and especially rear (or even just painted rear), would help sales IMO.

@@silverphoenix9377 not sure, where you are from, but i. The USA we get, base, premium and limited as manual/cvt. The GT gets the CVT only.

@@mtyota jdmmuscle have shown in cad and were meant to be releasing a rear bumper that looks really nice. Now... I will say, partly parinting the stock bumper in body color makes a huge difference. I think having it all painted the same color looks bad though.

Just got my '24 VB tuned with a Dmann OTS tune. All I have is a Perrin intake and Noble Titanium single exit. Just waiting for my UEL headers to come in, and a re-tune. It's a completely different car. It's not insane by any means. But for a daily? You can't really beat it. Also, the tune really smoothed out lower RPM driving over stock. Much less jerky. Love the content

I have a 09 wrx with Grimmspeed TMIC, IAG aos, mishimoto oil cooler, light flywheel, vf52 turbo, turbo smart dual port BOV, invidia catless down pipe. I have also done full STI brakes upgrades. Looking for the STI transmission to swap it eventually. I am looking to get it tuned but the Cobb AP is a no go since that whole mess with emissions. Trying to find something easier to tune without the complications of emissions. Any advice. You definitely know your Subaru stuff. I’m fairly new to the Wrx. Thank you

Open source is always a viable route if you wanted to run no emissions on the car. Also much cheaper and typically the software is free. 🫡 a handful of tuners still use it

Just make sure you address the axle recall on the 2023 wrx...& get done decent all season tires not summer tires 😑 that comes stock on them...or youll slide all over the place.

@@fappydabear1774 Also, check they dont give you summer tires when you take delivery of the car. You need some nice michellin sport 4s All season tires ...I drove on summer tires in winter..very scary 😨 😳 😬 😫 😐. That's one thing I overlooked when I took delivery of mine.

I just had mine tuned last Friday. All I have are the Mishimoto intake, turbosmart dual port BOV, charge pipe, and Cobb top mount and I made 302.6/394.8 to the wheels; on 91 octane. I hope this helps you get a more realistic baseline for your numbers. my exhaust is stock, so I'd say you're making roughly around 345-ish/450-ish, to the wheels.

CONSIDERING THE ONLY PERFORMANCE MOD THAT WILL GIVE YOU HP IS THE INTAKE(THE BOV AND INTERCOOLER HELP WITH MAKING RELIABLE POWER BACK TO BACK RUNS) THOSE NUMBERS ARENT BAD. A J PIPE SHOULD REALLY HELP OUT.

Check your VIN there was a manufacture's error for the front drive shaft that leads to cracking and is being recalled by Subaru. About 400 units are effected for the 2023 year.

You have to be careful with the torque since you have no way of telling how much your putting down, bad things happen over 400tq on stock internals and trans so I’ve heard.

I don't think the supra is AWD but the dyno may have been on 4wd mode so the back and front rollers are linked and the front is spinning too

I wouldn't let PIA tune one of my cars if they paid me to do it. The few times I have talked to thrm the owner was a douche to me. I've seen a tuner from their upload the wrong map onto someone's car and blow it up on the first hit There's a few other reasons but personally not a fan of PIA
