The smeg is lovely but give yourself a few weeks to understand it..theyre making it look easy here…a first timer would be very confused….

From these two, the smeg did a really nice job! But the DeLonghi will last a little longer, plus has a better warranty. Out of all machines.... Tough to say! A Semi-automatic will always give you better esopresso, we have been loving the Barista Pro, and La Marzocco Linea Micra recently :)

I was considering the smeg automatic with steam but now I am declined for the Breville barista touch impress as I read the grinder is more robust especially for freshly roasted beans. Any thoughts will be helpful. Thanks

The issue is switching the beans out. You can't just pull out the container and dump them out.

With the smeg i ran out of water and thought…..it’s broken im sending it back ! As well it wont work if your grinds box is full…probably bows out if the beans tray is empty..

Very true! Which is a shame, as it looks absolutely amazing. Unfortunately it also seems very unreliable :( it's basically a cheap Beko machine rebranded as Smeg.

You didn't tell people that the DeLonghi true Brew does espresso / coffee over ice. The Smurf machine, or whatever it's called, does not. cold brew over ice is easier on your stomach

Smeg quality has been improving as they move more items to Italy for production. Not sure which you are speaking of but keep an eye out for some new items coming particularly in Coffee with La Pavoni parts!

I think the smeg is great…..but you do have to understand how to work it…that takes a little time…what i do is microwave half a cup of milk then add the coffee from the smeg…it compares with any coffee shop..drinking that black stuff neat isn’t done where i live…
