Nice to see you Ross. Crocheting is a relaxing hobby for me and the reason I will not do commission work. I never want to feel like it’s a job or pressure to compete a project within a certain amount of time. I have taken some knitting lessons and I’m currently working on a Ross hat which is working up beautifully.

I moved into a small apartment and discovered my yarn stash is out of control so I've been making hats like crazy to give away since my family doesn't want any. Using your hat design, I've been playing around with different stitch patterns. Lots of long rib knit hats because of gender neutrality and size flexibility but have been very unhappy with the decreases. You have solved that problem for me. Also making "double hats" that use a provisional cast on that I later finish off for the decreases making the hat closed off at both ends. Those are very long so a warm cuff for the ears. My ears get very cold here in northern Indiana. I think I'll try your decreases on those as well. Good to see you again and thank you. Have a productive and happy new year.

Hi Ross, question Do you knit a row OR Knit, Purl a row between the two decrease rows for your hat crown ? Love the pattern, looks so easy and doable..❤

I didn’t do any knitting between the decreases. You can do that if you want. There’s no right or wrong way to finish the hat. Make it you!
