Your husband has a wonderful "love language ". Definitely a keeper. Everyone I know who has had chemo, when their hair grew in, the hair was very curly and beautiful. Something to look forward to. Almost makes it all worth it.

Hi Lesley, love the new cardigan! It is so you. A rainbow of colour. Well done to 'Himself' for spoiling you. Thoroughly deserved in my opinion. I have two plans craft wise for 2025, to crochet a granny square blanket with one of our granddaughters and to keep 'joy' in my hobby. I do like the look of the Trove jumper. I did my first yarn advent this year with a swap with a lady in America. I've loved it. So much fun. Goodbye too 2024! Not too bad a year for us. I got of stereo for the first time in over twenty years. Sadly proved not all of the bulk was steroids! Lol 🍫🍰🍪 Look after yourself. xxJane 🎄🌼

@ I actually found some of this yarn/color in a small shop online. A color not made anymore. When I got the yarn my jaw dropped, not only the right color, but the same batch as the one I had. Unbelievable!

Good morning my lovely Leasley, He Himself is a treasure. Congratulations on the recalibrate cardigan. You are looking strong. ❤👋🫶🏻 Yes this month did suck big time. My adult son Richard, was diagnosed with cancer on the 8 Dec 24, operated on 11 Dec and is now home recovering. He is my baby (46yrs), a very stressful month. Along with me stress driving an writing my car off, and my other sons 17 yrs old doggy passing away. Yes it Sucked Big Time. 👋🐶🙏🐾 Looking forward to all the positive vibes. 😇💔🙏🫶🏻🐾🇦🇺

If yours is similar to mine, it's actions rather than words that count and buying things he thinks you'll like is his way of keeping you safe. It's incredibly sweet, but though you may be poorly right now, you still might not want or need all the extra 'stuff'! You haven't changed just because you're poorly. Sending love xx

I too understand the it sucks this year comment. Mine has been unbelievably odd and would not want to repeat any of it. But I have enjoyed my knitting again when I was able to get back to it, 3 months and had to learn a new way to hold my yarn. It changed my gauge and had to frog several garments because I was knitting tighter and changing needles didn’t help. But this way I can recast on for the new year and start the projects over. As one person says It’s Just Knitting.😅 see you next year.

I do thoroughly love your cardigan. When I was a kid I always wanted a coat of many colours like Joseph. Maybe I should start collecting minis and make one in the year to come. I know I should support my local yarn shop (which is a marvellous haberdashery) but I know I can get everything for a project in one place at Wool Warehouse. Hope you had a lovely holiday x

Hi Ian. I was wondering about crocheting an advent project - maybe that will be the December '25 project - coats of many colours are the best. I wore a handmade colourful jacket for a funeral once, as it suited the person being commemorated. It's a dilemma, isn't it? Companies like Wool Warehouse and the LYS. I'm going with the flow right now as I try to figure what I want and have the energy for. Unfortunately, the flow is a bit stuck at the moment. Your comments on this are giving me good direction. It is an adventure with space for all kinds of unexpected obstacles. My 2024, like yours has been filled with both trauma and joyous recognition of those who love me.
