Ty so much for the added tips which I will bring using! I love using Pinesol , the only thing I’ve found so far that it didn’t deter were cockroaches 🤢 they would actually come out to smell it ..

Try the repellant around the tires. That’s where they start to enter.

Suggestion: Phenyle. While I have several of the products and substances you mention, while listening I flashed on phenyle disinfectant as worth trying. Based on creosote and coal tar, it has an incredibly persistent smell in incredibly small quantities. My parents used to use it when I was a kid to keep the outdoor toilet clean. No good for anywhere indoors, but could be a very cheap and effective deterrent in a greenhouse or outdoor shed. Some months ago I purchased 4 bottles that I haven't even opened, and stored them briefly with some other cleaning gear. Now, just that OTHER gear is still redolent of the phenyle, making the whole shed smell of it. Luckily I don't mind the smell, as long as it isn't near any food!

I only have fruit rats outside, they raid my raised garden beds & chew holes in my tomatoes and peppers! Peppermint oil concentrate didn't detract them, neither did cayenne.. 😖

I must have Smart mice because the ones that I have they just pee on the smell and go on with their business so nothing like that helps me unfortunately I've tried it
