I believe this provides a much better gold yield than simply crushing the rocks then panning the powder. Quality video 👌

Good job but what about crushing ore finer and roasting cons? If you roast you might not need iron rod at all more gold too what do you think? I know all ores are different.
@ColoradoGoldCamp2 жыл бұрын
Absolutely! I'm still experimenting with my processes for each ore type. On the dredge cons, I'm no seeing much difference between roasted or not.

Great videos! I am wondering how you come up with a flux recipe? I've been trying to smell I've failed a lot but I'm close. I got my first speck in the cupel. At first I didn't think it I had anything. But a little tiny I know I missed a bunch in the slag. It never seems to pour as liquid as yours. I figured its my recipe. Any tip would be great. Thanks for the time you put in to your channel!!!
@ColoradoGoldCamp2 жыл бұрын
Hello Andy. Congrats on your first bead! Smelting can be difficult and confusing. My best suggestion is to make sure that the furnace gets hot enough and for long enough. You want to "cook" the smelt until all bubbling stops then continue for 5-10 min longer. In my non blower furnace this takes 45min to over an Hour for me. Also, flux thinner does work.

The added iron helps to reduce the sulphides to iron sulfide so that they can get absorbed into the slag.
