I 100% agree with you when you say you felt like you were being tortured. The movie was exhausting and did a terrific job at showing what it’s like living with an anxiety disorder.

Unpopular opinion: I liked the first Smile better; I thought this one was just a more extreme retread of things we already saw previously. And my problem with both movies is that the monster is almost too powerful/too invincible if it can manipulate reality the way it does. Removes the stakes and makes it feel like everything that occurred in the movie was pointless? Idk. What I will agree with though is that Naomi Scott is a frickin' star and deserves all the praise for her performance here.

Oh ok good i thought it was just my local AMC theater that sometimes left the lights on in the theater. It's gotten to the point where I almost expect them to forget about the lights. There's nothing more infuriating than when a movie is just starting but you have to get up, walk out of the theater and remind employees to do their job.

Horror movies rarely get nominated for Oscars or ANY awards, for that matter,especially the actors. It's so unfair. TO THIS DAY I SAY Toni Collete should have been nominated for Hereditary.

3:16 I feared that would be the case as soon as I saw that runtime weeks ago on IMDb. Comedy and horror work best when they’re short, IMO. 4:39 I worked at a Regal theater decades ago and you just gave me flashbacks. This was shortly before digital projectors took over, and miles of film are a nightmare to untangle. I always made sure to turn the lights down after I fixed the projectors, though. 😂

I'm surprised by how much and how many people like this one better than the first. My mom and I definitely liked the first one better. The first was way more scarier to me though this sequel did have me cringeing more in second hand embarrassment for Skye. Either way I'm happy to see Naomi Scott on the big screen since I've known her from the DCOM Lemonade Mouth❤

I have the unpopular opinion in that I felt that Power Ranger movie was actually pretty good or not to shabby, but that is a minority opinion that I had years after seeing it. As far as this movie goes, I was never into the original, so my interest is low on this one. I do not really like long movie, to long it seems. I am old fashioned in that I like my big bad to be physical threats a la Michael Myers, Ghostface, Freddy, etc., but I guess I am out of touch now. Lol.

I walked out after 50 mins in. I havent done this is many years and i Loved the first movie. One major problem i had is i didn’t care at all about the lead character. If someone called me up and said Britney Spears was currently being stalked by a demon i would say, “thats a shame, wanna get some pizza.” And i love that very loud banging noise has become necessary for 80% of horror movies these days.
@dojachrist4286Ай бұрын
so by ur logic if you don’t know the character irl then the character is weak?
@movies_are_lifeАй бұрын
The character is weak because the script makes her unlikeable. That’s fine at first, but she goes from being boring and unlikeable to annoying and even more dreadful. Plus I didn’t care for the actress. Just constantly yelling.
