The first Smile worked so well primarily because of Sosie Bacon and her character. She really looked like the everyday woman. She didn't have those Hollywood looks. So she felt relatable. To top of it off, her character was a therapist, which made her situation even scarier.

Reminds me of Britney Spears from the 2000's and this anime I haven't seen it but some clips a film called "Perfect Blue" with her having a mental crisis but also a stalker. I wonder if the next will deal with Van Goh with him cutting off his ear to go with theme these films.

Loved the first one; just didn't like how it devolved to basic jump scares in the last 15 min or so before the demon just said 'fuckit' & started stealin off on her lol

I'll check this out. The first wasn't perfect, but I still liked it. I even reviewed it, but this one reminds me of Perfect Blue (RIP Satoshi Kon) from the early 2000s.

I love the first one and I hope the sequel is good. Especially since Naomi Scott (Power Rangers, Aladdin) is the lead and I love her as an actress. She doesn't get enough good roles and I hope this movie shows her acting range.

I’m not going to lie, I wish they name the second movie “Smiles”, because with the first movie you have “Smile”, so for the second movie they can call it“Smiles” to imply there will be more smiles in the movie, and if they make a third movie they can call it “Smiling”, it would be a cool naming scheme.

i’m not a fan of the first smile. too many annoying jumpscares, it was more funny than scary, and the ending PISSED ME OFF. this looks more of the same. however i wonder if this ending will piss me off
