I lost my child ten years ago this year. I was in a really bad depression. I wanted to do something at home to keep my mind busy but didn't have alot of money for games. I saw this game called Warframe was free. Little did I know how much this game would mean to me after I beat the Sacrifice. Umbra feels like someone wrote my story. Thank you so much for making this. You helped me by listening to this. Thank you for helping me take away my pain by this beautiful song.

I love how DE gave you a reason to actually cherish Umbra even more. When we found out that dark past, we all knew now the source of the Warframe's fury. It made so many cry because we could barely imagine how it felt for Umbra to kill his own son without being in control, and spending every day of his life replaying that memory without anyone lending a hand. When the Warframes went in and saved us Operators, it was the time for us to realize what these awesome space-ninjas we all adored really were. And Ballas' lines as soon as we merged with Umbra? It was perfectly executed. After all the suffering the Orokin imposed on those experiments, they forgot that simple empathy and care was needed for the Warframes to be controlled. That's what the Tenno gave to the monsters with skin of sword-steel. It's what we gave to gained the powers to give both the Orokin and the Sentients what is due. Well played, DE. You've made me cry. THRICE.

I do believe you have made something that rivals his own The slow opening, building tension before an explosive swell that still maintains the soul of the original, transitioning into a beautiful falling melancholy, only to rise once again only this time far more complex and far more powerful (much like the ancient Dax who was said to have played the original piece) And not to mention the wonderful inclusion of the second dream's motif, giving the overall piece a sense of interconnection (as well as a nice dose of nostalgia that makes this rendition even more satisfying to listen to) Bravo sir, I applaud you!

Only thing getting in my head is how Ballas got tricked by Hunhow to take away the Lotus so they can brainwash her into Natah again. We lost our maternal figure but we gained a new paternal figure.
@gaychampagnesocialist72136 жыл бұрын
Ballas was like all other Orokin, but in the end he truly did love Margulis, and was willing to make a pact with the demons of their own making to try and get her back. His ego, sociopathy, and obsession almost singlehandedly brought down their empire and caused a genocide. Warframe's lore is a Greek tragedy, filled with monsters, existential horror, the folly of Titans, and it's current story is the Hero's Journey, waking up, mastering oneself and your powers, loss, making one's own path, and the introduction of the True Villains, some simply apathetic, some unknown, some evil, and some misguided in their vengeance. All of this from a Free to Play game, with what's basically an apprentice-level game studio with one actual title behind them. G freaking G.

Anyone here played through the Mass Effect series? Paragon Shepard normally takes the calm, rational, diplomatic approach, but sometimes, something _really_ pisses him off. Like what Gavin Archer did to his brother during the events of Overlord. In every Warframe quest before this one, the Sun approach is to take a similar approach. Stay calm, try to be understanding, let compassion inform your actions. What Ballas did was so horrific and arguably unnecessary that the Sun approach was literally described as "Wrath." It was the Neutral and Moon approaches which were the calmer ones this time. I found that very interesting.
@infamouscheese38126 жыл бұрын
Phoenix 731 Not quite. Sun represents feeling powerful emotions, while Moon represents distancing yourself and being emotionless. Hence why the Moon option for that choice was ‘Emptiness.’ Neutral is the most rational option.
@Phoenix-2146 жыл бұрын
Yes, but this is inconsistent with previous takes on the morality system. Ex.: From The War Within, "They were nothing but animals by then, so I hunted" is inconsistent with being entirely emotionless, and letting the Grineer queen live (Sun) doesn't strike me as being representative of powerful emotions. Compassion, maybe, but in that moment, I seriously doubt the Operator wanted nothing more than to hug the bitch and tell her it'd be okay or something like that. Probably there was a sort of disgusted, halfhearted and reluctant pity instead. That indicates something other than strong feelings to me. More like following some kind of set of moral rules.
@infamouscheese38126 жыл бұрын
Phoenix 731 As for hunting the adults, it was letting go of the fact that they were people and parents, and seeing them as animals driven mad by the void. Not feeling the emotion of compassion and putting them out of their misery. As for letting the Red Queen live, it’s arguable that that is the most inhumane way to kill her, leaving her to slowly waste away from sickness. To do something like that you would need to feel a lot of anger and hatred for someone, hence the emotional Sun option.
@Phoenix-2146 жыл бұрын
I'm afraid I disagree on the first point. If you listen to the Operator's _voice_ during their description of the events on the Zarimann Ten Zero, there's audible disgust, anger, with the hunting option. There isn't some kind of...dissonant serenity as they dispassionately describe how they slaughtered their own parents. As for leaving the queen to rot, that could be taken as an act of cruelty, or an act of mercy. The game makes it rather unclear. The most emotionally balanced-sounding options, emotionally, seem to be the Neutral choices, at least in the War Within. I still hear emotion in the Operator's voice when they choose to kill the Queen, though. I think the morality system then was envisioned more as a reflection of the morality of your actions and motives, regardless of your character's feelings at the time. They may have changed that since then but that's the impression I got from that quest.

The fact that you not only transposed it into piano, but also into so many other instruments, including viola, shows just how talented you really are.

So what?! She is our! She is still lotus! We known that she is sencient since Natah! She still don' t want to finish her mision and destroy us... She is still our space mum. And that she presented herself in her tru form means nothing( at least to me).

Butterstealth but i dont want to😫 and this is why warfame is really good, ill have tears from killing space mum:c but i hope we will kill her and have a conversation like "kiddo, i didnt mean to...but you chose right..." I know it happened so much times in other games and movies but in wf it would be cool again:P

Shivers when this is what you are came in. The two best songs in warframe fit together so well. Some of the most beautiful music to ever come out of a video game.

It amazes me that a free to play game can come up with the perfect song for their quests. This is by far the best quest theme they have ever came up with

not lotus anymore tbh since shes now in her sentient form shes natah again right? why do people still call her lotus *she isnt what she once was* guess its easier to keep track of. Personally i think she isnt even going to hesitate killing you. And i feel like the next quest is leading to a new solar system thingy like the tau-system since thats probably where lotus is.
