Once I saw the Myers DB with the side pods then looking at them without the pods I just don't think it looks complete like the pods really make it look special but I suppose when the people that build their own must get buggy fever and just tell themselves that they can add the pods later but never do and drive it as is.

I’ve grown up with seeing them without pods so I guess I’m used to seeing them without and prefer them that way now.

@@justjoshin209 Well being that they're liable to be damaged from road debris it is one less headache to replace or repair.

I like the book. But it has a European bent and does not cover 90 % of the American manufacturers. That being said I absolutely love the pictures and the old advertisements. I have a California Clipper buggy and love it, how ever it is/was poorly manufactured and I have added significant reinforcement. Early on in my dune buggy ownership I became frustrated with the low amount of info about buggy’s. I started buying up old copy’s of Dunebuggies the fun car journal, I have managed to collect all of them, which became Hot VW’s. They are a great read and for me a window back into my youth. I really enjoy your videos as they are very well done!
