Hi Peter, believe this is the case - A long-standing and recurring problem in the rail industry, wheel flats can cause extensive damage and trigger safety-related events if undetected. They are caused by slippage between the wheel and rail that usually occurs during braking as the required friction is reduced. The faster wheel flats are detected, the easier it is to limit damage to wheel bearings, axles, and additional infrastructure such as rails and sleepers. HTH thankyou, David

Sometimes the ticket machine doesn’t work so you have to buy a ticket from the on-board conductor. Assume you use Traksy to monitor the trains….
