Anyone else sad most logos slowly become more minimalist.. A beautiful logo, but I'll miss the full object that the Smite 1 logo was.

yeah I know that it will probably fit better in modern Uis and such, but the old logo is something really *solid* . That polished golden 3D, really feels godly. Now it's just a generic logo with the bolt as a reference. Nothing against it but eh..

literal a 2 generation jump. It's more than a sequel at this point. A straight up new game. Idk if I'm exaggerrating, but if they promote it well, League might be in trouble, LEAGUE feels outdated and just annoying to play at this point. Smite could finally break the MOBA monopoly and avenge all the innovative MOBAs that tried to be different (Battlerite, Gigantic)

I like the new logo. The roman numeral wouldve been cool too, maybe replaced the "I" and the "T" with the Roman Numeral and it would've been just as cool maybe. The nostalgic lightning bolt is also important since its been there when I joined in Season 2

As a graphic designer, I’m not sure this logo is the optimal solution to Smite 2’s branding. The negative space lightning bolt is clever, but I fail to see why that couldn’t be implemented into the Roman numeral option, which is much more fitting to Smite’s identity

Personally, I feel this logo has forgone what gave Smite 1 its character and went with a minimalist approach that doesn't carry the same oomph. I can appreciate the thought that was put into it, it just feels a little soulless compared to what it was before, especially since it's just following the same formula of design reduction as other "modern-style" logos.

that's cool and all but why is it so much worse then the original logo? like you guys were challenged to make it simple, with no detail, and only use one color so most people can easily scribble on a piece of paper if they only have a yellow coloring pencil it would be pretty much perfect. if I were to design the Logo I would have put roman numerals but also I would have put the number 2 as well and addionally I would have put references to all the pantheons so not just the roman numerals but also like the Egyptian numerals, the Celtic numerals ect. just think about all the possibilities when it comes to logos and gods. also I don't like the Lightning bolt because I don't really think of lightning when I think of gods and smite when I think of Smite I think of Paladins because Paladins smite down their foes unlike Gods except Zeus at this point I think we should just rebrand smite and get rid of all the gods expect for Zeus and only put paladins in the game. it will be a great Idea hi rezz I hope your taking my feed back seriously I probably represent 0% to 100% of players who knows.

Hope they don't ruin Smite 2 by adding bots as well as copying LoL layout like they did Smite 1. Also hope they don't over cluster and consistently change items etc to the point of where our God item builder gets reset each time. Imagine playing 6-10 gods that you pre build then they keep getting reset. Was quite annoying and what made me quit smite 1.

Builds aren't supposed to be the same every time though. One of the biggest parts of smite gameplay is having such a large pool of items to build and counterbuild with. Playing with the same build every single game is not a healthy habit to get into. That being said they are completely redesigning the item system and damage systems. It looks really promising to me and it'll actually allow for even more variety in builds, which was desperately needed

You shouldn't have more than 2 or three "Core items" You always gotta leave room for situational items. you probably main mid or carry though, which understandably doesn't require much of that. Or maybe you don't even play conq which would explain it even more. STILL, not a good habit to play with auto build on and turn your brain off to any counter building or the item system in general.

You tell'em Immortal. You can have a couple core items but then you need to counter build against the team comp on the other team, like if you're up against a healer and you prebuild doesn't have antiheal items, you would have to shift your build in a way to incorporate an anti heal in there. Or if someone is tanky, maybe get a second pen item going. It's very situational.

Personally I feel like the new logo is a victim of the modern minimalistic change. I love how the Smite 1 logo looks and transferring that bulky shape and 3d look it's important. The new logo doesn't look bad but having a 2d version and removing a lot of detail (like shadows and glowing spots) makes is it look less appealing to me.
