Corsair Joshua Before her first nerf , one time in conquest I was in a 4v5 and I was playing artio. Guess what , we still managed to keep up because I could tank a lot of shit and still do enough damage. If you know when to attack with her , yes artio is an unstoppable monster but dont expect to 1v5 unless the ennemy team are playing like bonobos

Wow! Its almost like he was able to kill 1 squishy who was already at 20% by ccing them while the rest of the enemy team was being blown up by his team still! Oh wait, pretty much any Warrior or aggressive Guardians can do the exact same thing.........and in the fight right before it, Ok, yeah, 4 people are "attacking" him but....literally every single one of them misses every single auto and ability.........which if that happens, *every* character in the game can "tank" it.....

Mathieu....the point wasn't "Oh artio isn't strong" it was that all of the clips were terrible examples of *why* she was strong. Killing low health squishies by ccing them with little to no downside is something that *every* aggressive guardian (or warrior) can do. If the enemies had hit all their autos and abilities, he would have died in the second clip- but the enemy players were garbage and missed everything, so he didn't die, something that again, pretty much any character can do.

I read the comments below and think people are focusing too hard on the cc on her two alone... Let's break this down some. Her 2 is a 6s cripple which is also a power debuff that is what you aren't looking at. 25% power debuff on a guardian that travels with you. Osiris' power debuff can be stopped by moving away or knocking him away. Moving away not likely to happen. he insta stun and prots okay I can see the argument but at the same time that part isn't the strongest part about her. But when used in conjunction she forces beads by existing next to you. Her healing is definitely insane and yes you may argue rush anti heal but for you to apply it you have to be able to fight 90% of the items have this affect. But it won't matter as the thing frustrating about her is that even if you are winning against artio once she hits late game she controls the fights. the heal at max rank for her one if she hits 3-5 targets which is very possible and likely to happen will heal for about 420-700 before scaling. and if you are diving with another or in the back line because being dove on, you apply it to allies. People may argue get antiheal but she is the tank are you going to be able to melt her down fast enough to stop her from doing it 3 times in a fight? ALSO will you be able to do it while stopping 4 other members on their team because if yo commit your cc to a 40% CCR Artio with Spirit Robe you are crazy. Her 3 stacking slow... I think we forget why we removed it from Ah Puch's ultimate.but getting rooted in a 6 sec cripple isn't fun at all and it isn't hard to hit.. I am not saying you can't win I have but you exhaust so much on it you most likely don't want to play. Her prot shred is ridiculous I don't under stand why they always do an insanely high prot shred (mind you I am a Solo Laner so tanky I like) but while it doesn't mean as much to squishies it changes the entire dynamic of a team fight because what was hitting you for 300 before possibly is hitting you for 450 that is a 1.5x increase in damage. Back to the point of running away people say she can be easily peeled off... I don't think they remember ccr is a stat and a cost efficient one at that, running when she has a stacking slow and a movement speed buff for hitting you doesn't happen and then her long distance slow inducing dash which is slow and root immune. Her damage isn't high per say in terms of how much she does in one rotation while going full defense. but she doesn't have as long in cd's as people think. lets do the match shall we? Her dash is 15s max cdr makes it about 7.3 - 7.6... Her root is 6s of cc and her stun is 1.4s and they are on a about 5.6s cd's max cdr, her 1 is on a 4.8s cd with max cdr. it isn't that she is locking you down a long time but rather that she locks you down long enough in a fight to do it again and again. Notice I didn't mention damage? because her damage isn't the main concern and it isn't killing her either there are ways to do it but you are all focused on that aspect you don't think of the incoming Nox who she just set up for or the Ra snipe because you got rooted or a Cernnunos who just got a free ult because she may have blinked cc'd the team. The relevancy of his rant isn't her 1v whater it is her and another 2v whatering whatever they want. Chances are that you don't play perfectly in a fight and she runs the fight like Ama did when she was released. or Bellona.. that is what should be looked at not the aspect of you can kill her if you do this because yo toss it out there in chat but how many will sacrifice their item slots to do that? Just some food for thought and Duke does read this hopefully he understands that I am not saying her damage can't be dumb but it isn't her kit that is the biggest issue on it's own she synergizes with her items too well at the same time. If pros even admit she is too strong then there has to be some truth to it. Playing her solo is just advantages because she gets to be levels ahead of every one.

how i build my Artio: sands of time, stage 1 boots, blue chalice. then go full reinforced boots in to mail of renewal, hide of urchin, breastplate of valor, stone of binding (the one that gives flat pen to allies), sell sands for flex spot defense (nemian or kagari armor/genji armor). then sell blue chalice for health and health pots. ill have 30% cdr and im hoping pretty ok defenses. ill have good health healing with all my gear. any input on this? i mainly play a support/cc role with her by protecting my allies and body blocking when i need to letting myself get killed if need be to keep them in the game as they are the dps after all

The stacks of her passive and her 4 don't seem to refresh or rise on continued hits from abilities like her 3 in druid form tho, which makes it pretty difficult to actually reach full stacks as I found out when trying to get her achievements. Could be a bug tho.

Hi-Rez should've learned from Cernunnos and Susano that if you insist on giving a god a bloated kit, then don't give them mobility moves at all, thats really the only way to balance it out. Hel is strong but not too powerful precisely because of her relative lack of mobility. Even Cern wouldn't have needed any nerfs whatsoever to his damage if his dash wouldn't have existed and he was very vulnerable against ganks, like AMC and Artemis.

I played her two times. First time I focused on being a tank and lost. Second time I built her more focused on power. Results? I could solo chaac, zeus, hou yi, kill all of them and end with ~50% health (happened two times during the game). That was after her first nerf so she was already weakened.

How to get away from Artio. Play Ratatoskr with full cdr. Should keep you in the tree often enough. If you still can't bear her then get a friend and lock her down. I know friends might be an unfamiliar concept to the pc gamers but ey it really works.

I wish, but they won't. 24 flat prot shred isn't enough when you're dealing 20% less damage because of that field. and you can't dash into her with rat if she has the cripple field active because you get stopped before hitting her. just stay on the trees 24/7. 95% CDR Rat should let you get away from her. ...until she learns to climb trees

How to counter artio: you're gonna need anti heal, pen, lots of movement, ccr or immunity, damage and a lot of survivability so just max out every stat then maybe you can box a little but you'll probably still die.

I do like the general concept of her as an anti-mobility god but she was way over done with everything she has. The passive should stack like the ult so only 1 stack per ability. Her 2 is probably the worst part of her kit so they could do it so the cripple is 2-3 seconds rather than 4-6 or make it so it is like mercury's 1 or skadi's 3 where the size of the area is increased when it is levelled.

+sailornaruto39 She CAN be played sup but you need a team built around it. Her cc is very strong, but short-range, mostly short duration except the cripple and single target. That places her in the same area as warrior supports like Herc or guardians like Khep and Faf. Those however have better tools to compensate for it (ults/steroids) and still benefit from a strong secondary front line. In addition, Artio's engage without blink is limited. CC her out of her dash and she's pretty much out of options. No big deal if you're solo, you're not expected to be the primary front line and soak up damage/cc. As a sup you are and when you can't execute that, it becomes a problem. Geb is in a similar situation here, bit his cc has more reach, his shield can used from range and his rollout has cc immunity.

Her healer stance should not do damage just heal. I could potentially house all her cc but im not sure how that would work. Bear stance should do damage and may need to be adjusted due to healer stance losing damage.

I run Bellona Ninja Tabi > Hastened Katana > Qin Sai's > Atalantas Bow > Wind Demon > Bloodforge I hit Artio with my 2 and lay into her ass, the lifesteal keeps me alive and the movement speed lets me chase her down even when she pops her dash!

I'd say lower the timer of her cripple to 4 at all ranks and she'd be balanced. Also Make her 1 only heal her and she'll be fine. Stuns, silences, and slows hard counter her.

There are multiple factors to balance around with guardians: CC, damage, sustain, and mobility. I.e. Ymir has high damage for a guardian with a moderate amount of CC but has no sustain and no mobility. Sobek has decent damage, decent sustain, decent CC, and good mobility. Sylvanus has lower CC, high sustain, no mobility, and low damage. Fafnir has lower CC, mediocre sustain, good mobility, and high damage. Noticing a sort of Yin and Yang here? There should be a balance between these factors: CC, damage, sustain, and mobility. Artio has high CC, high sustain, high damage, and good mobility. She is fundamentally broken, regardless of the numbers just because of the traits of her kit. But a 6second AOE cripple that moves with you and goes on cooldown the moment it's activated?!?!

Artio is absolutely ridiculous I have a near 80% win ratio with her. I don't play her in conquest, but that absolutely should not happen. I'm no where near that good at this game. when i figured out that stone of binding procs on every tick of her three, i felt like i should be thrown in jail. It doesn't seem like it would make much difference, but in a rather lengthy fight, or what would have been a lengthy fight, with your team around you, you notice when the enemy team is looking for ways to escape far earlier than you're used too since your team constantly has more penetration throughout the entirety of the fight..

I have the same issue, I love her concept and stuff, but I feel way too disgusting while playing her. One of her achievements are bugged, and I really want to keep trying for it since the recommendation to me not getting it right now is "just keep playing her, you'll get it eventually" but I really just don't want to be that guy who plays her.

Artio is a really bad showing for the QA/Balance Team yet one of the greatest showings for the Design Team. It saddens me that they make an amazing feeling character, with great visuals and fun YET decide to make the character so over the top that you feel dirty everytime you play her AND everytime you're against her, you want to end your exsistence. This is a showing, much like release Cern and release Susano that shows HiRez's QA Team (Whoever that may be) is NOT DOING THEIR JOB PROPERLY. It is unacceptable that HiRez having been told and shown time and time again that THEIR information is often bad or incorrect and that they should be listening to the community. Highly dissapointing. Also, Duke, rant more, invite me next time, I wanna vent harder than CuChu.. Speaking of which....
