For those that are curious about the true lore: After the gods condemn his dear friend to death, Gilgamesh develops thanatophobia as he sees and takes care of Enkidu's corpse. Because of this, he seeks immortality. His quest is given course by a man who is made immortal by the gods long ago (Utnapishtim). He guides Gilgamesh to a flower of youth located in a very difficult-to-reach place. Gilgamesh manages to retrieve the plant but later loses it to a random snake on his way back to Uruk and sort of falls into despair. Through all this, he is escorted by Utnapishtim. As they reach the city, Gilgamesh has apparently overcome his fears and as he describes the magnificence of the city, discovers how to stop being the tyrant he is at the beginning of the epic.

He did not torment his subjects and he was elected by them to rule but he was always fighting trying to defeat a stronger appointment so he made everyone including the gods very angry So the gods created enkidu who has the same strength as Gilgamesh to defeat him but they became friends for a long fight and started to kill more monsters from the gods. So basically the gods creat things and Gilgamesh kills them 😅

@@marlinwilliams9446 How is Tiamat BS compared to gilga? Literally has a kick that yeets you twice as far as hercules. A mix of Hades+odin's ult. A jump, and a dmg buff that increases with his HP pool. You could basically build him tank instead of bruiser and still deal a ton. Tiamat is poorly played by like 85% of the community. The only annoying thing about tiamat is it's Abathur like ability to split push a lane to oblivion.

I wouldn't necessarily say that they're "Fate characters" but that they simply have a common element, the use of ancient gods and heroes as characters. I don't disagree that a nod to the franchise would be cool (like maybe Arthur, Cú and Gilgamesh getting appropriate color mods etc), but I doubt there'll be an event anytime soon. Too many moving parts to deal with, I would think.

Achilles, Artemis (attached to Orion), Chiron, Cú Chulainn, Da Ji (Fate uses the Japanese "Tamamo no Mae"), Fafnir kind of appears as a part of Siegfried and I believe Freya gets combined with Louhi and Sitonai into a singular character (if you count that), Ganesha, Gilgamesh, Heracles, King Arthur Pendragon (good lord there's a lot of Arthur...), Medusa, Merlin, Ne Zha, Pele, Skadi, Tiamat makes an appearance as an NPC boss... I might be missing some others (folks an feel free to correct me), I'm just going off my knowledge from F/GO as opposed to the other spin off series, but there's 17 for you so far.

All I can say is they did a good representation of him. "Mongrel", fits perfectly since he sees humans below him which is he's a tyrant. Plus GOB existed in the epic anyway. Gilgamesh in Smite doesn't really utilize his treasury
