Hey I like LoL and SMITE. I'll admit the characters are similar, but that's mostly because they're both clinging tight to the stealth assassin archetype. Their abilities are different enough to tell the difference while still keeping them both "that assassin that poofs in and out of combat" and I'm just fine with that! ^^

Okay, I'm a LOL player and I'm taking a look at the Smite Gods, what do I think of Loki? I like him. So maybe he shares some similar abilities to Shaco, their not enough to claim Loki's a ripoff, he just looks like an assassin to me. (a cool assassin.) I hate it when people go ranting about how "My MOBA is better than your MOBA." you sound like the COD fans/haters. Unicorn Pet Pet Just because you can kill someone really fast with spells, doesn't make you an assassin. Leblanc's kit is based around illusions and jukes as she nukes you with her spells. She doesn't get physical by slashing you up, she uses magic and makes you waste all of your abilities trying to hit her. Shaco is an assassin, yes he has some jukes for escaping; but his primary play style is to surprise! and slash you to death then run. That's nothing like Loki, and his jukes are a lot more simplistic and easy to use. Leblanc takes more planning. Shaco clones are for offense, and it's a lot easier to tell which one is which. Leblanc's clones for trickery ONLY and fool you a lot more often than Shaco clones.

Yes, LeBlanc has great jukability, but the main reason she has a 40% ban rate at the moment is because she is able to nuke down any carry from 100-0 in under a second. Shaco requires you to be smart about how you how you place your boxes, how you position, tricking your enemies into attacking your clone rather than yourself, etc. Again, given either champion's current state, I would say Shaco's play style is based more around tricking your opponents than the jukey but mostly nuke-to-death play style of LeBlanc.

Unicorn Pet Pet If you think Shaco doesn't nuke you to death, then you haven't played with a good shaco. Again, Loki is not a physical assassin. He is a master of magic, he doesn't have to have Leblanc's damage, but he should have her style of jukes. He shouldn't be someone who can just appear out of nowhere slash you up then run off; that's nothing like the actual mythos of him. He should be someone who has to kite around and make you blow off all of your spells before going in for the kill, and he should be someone who kills you with magic; not blades.

Until they nerf her damage, that's always going to be the case. and again, its not like there is anything wrong in having a sneaky assassin character, its just that Loki and Shaco's kit are almost exactly the same, slows on auto attacks, stealth for a short time with bouns attack, 20% increased damage when attacking from behind, somthing to distract/tank minions etc.

If we go by that then he is more like bounty hunter and Rikimaru. there is so much you can do with a sneaky assassin character without running into similarities.
