I think its disappointing to hate on cav mains. More than anything for being the person advocating for a slower power creep, this doesnt bode well as it forces us into a meta where we only see inf. This isnt good for the health of the community. 3 inf march meta. Inf garrison meta. Inf rally meta.

Omniarch with the smite tree are you now happy you are a infantry player? I run 3 infantry in open field. That 45 rage reduction is extremely powerful. I believe him and Lui Che may be the best single target damage and AOE combo in the game. Gotta max him. I wonder if that rage reduction in the smite tree will work with Belisaurius Prime rage reduction and rage requirement addition

I personally think William Lui che is the best pair. Why not gorgo? Because of the smite tree. It says whenever it deals smite all troops hit losse rage. Which instead of one troop means 5 with lui.

I like him, it's new, innovative (bcos of the new talent tree) very strong but not broken, and kinda squishy, which is a weak point I mean, I'm totally fine with him. Also I think LC is stronger yes, his expertise is crazy, that 25% extra basic attack is by far the strongest skill in the GAME. I was curious to see how good he is with Alexander... I would love to have 2 shields... but it's kinda expensive, since we need to expertise him

Here are my thoughts on the smite dmg and normal dmg increase on his 4th skill: I think the game wants to increase their 'skill dmg' without necessarily increasing their 'all dmg'. If we look at skill dmg commanders they usually give like 20% (ZL, Hermann, Ashurbanipal) or a little higher (Nevsky, Huo, Ysg etc.). I think they wanted to give smite commanders the same opportunity but without making them too overpowered, because just imagine a smite dmg commander boosting his normal dmg by 50% like ysg is boosting his skill dmg. I also appreciate the efforts to not make smite dmg basically the next skill dmg, it would be so boring actually. Smite dmg would be better, since basically every talent tree and many commanders have skill smg reduction but barely any normald dmg or smite dmg reduction. So I think it's good that they're trying to give them a dmg boost to their active skills like skill dmg commanders have, while keeping the 'tradition' of giving normal dmg boosts

so if you're running multiple cav commanders what do you do? William, Saladin, HQ all have slow down. Braveheart will be every where on the field. If you're feeling suicidal and run HQ/ Beli, you'll increase Braveheart's skill cycle to 10 turns so his 40% damage boost effects both primary and secondary commanders active skill... Is HQ still worth investing in? and what about Beli, I know some were touting him as an Ark carrier in Aoo, but wouldn't William being immune to slow down will be better? Will you even be able to win Aoo without Braveheart removing slowdown?

Thinking about how Liu Che is going to reduce 45 rage infinitely. It has no cooldown stated on that talent. So you remove 90 from the target attacking you with William Wallace and another 45 from Liu Che not including his instant proc damage. Removing 180 rage every skill cycle basically.

Furthermore liu will reduce rage from everyone hit with smite totaling another 180 from him alone. Plus if Wallace is swarmed another 90. That’s -450 rage from everyone hit by/attacking Wallace liu Che
