Morgan grew up with Arthur as his main advisor and taught Merlin everything he knows about magic in Arthurian legend, without Morgan there is no Camelot and I'm glad the cinematic displays that correctly, and she's not even in the wrong here Arthur and Merlin turned on her due to Gawain.

The animation was released earlier and is already really good and high quality, the issue with lore is the fact there truly isn't alot of of lore around Morgan Le Fey in Arthurian epics. Pretty much just a few things like how she is an enchantress and technically Arthur's half sister or sister in law depending on the interpretation, seduced Arthur and gave birth to Mordred and raised him to usurp Arthur for her to claim power and control Camelot and the throne from the shadows. Thats why she is pretty easy character for Hi Rez to go buck wild on her personality, design, and abilities since they have alot of creative freedom with her. Plus could be worse, they do release a new god every month along with constant balance patches each month. So I don't mind giving up some small amount of lore for devs that actually give a hoot about their game. Unlike alot of triple A devs who just sit back and watch their playerbase cannibalize each other.

Very strange that the supreme sorceress of Arthurian legend got the more simplistic style kit than others... I thought she’d be like Tiamat and have several abilities and ways of true trickery. It’s just a clone that does nothing and... a fear.... Kinda disappointed in her but at least she looks and sounds gorgeous. The dragon is the best part really. It's not lore. Hi-Rez made it up. She is responsible for Uther and most of his knights death, due to Uther killing her father and marrying her mother by force. She transposes this hatred onto Arthur.

Then she was a couterpoint to Merlin, not hostile, but not friendly either. Guinevere wasn't even in that. Next mention is Mallory, where she is the vengeful half sister who hates the Pendragon bloodline, but reconciles when she sees the damage caused by Mordred. Not once has she ever been a trusted and close advisor of Arthur, she's always been vaguely antagonistic to DIRECTLY antagonistic, either through her son, or by directly trying to kill multiple of Arthurs knights. If you can find one poem or version where Guinevere deceives Arthur and turns him against Merlin and Morgan, be my guest. Hi-Rez made it up
