When I got my BG2.0, I had a hell of a time reassembling it after I field stripped it. It ended up being the recoil spring not being 100% seated in the front of the slide. I’ve since thrown 600 rounds through it, and there is no issue taking it apart and reassembling it. Everything is so tight on this little micro. I have a feeling once people put a couple boxes of ammo through it, things will mate to each other proper. Nice video sir.

Mine had the same issue. Gunsmith got it to seat properly. Have not had a problem since but still concerned that it won’t occur again

@@takelso I totally attribute it to being such a small firearm with tight initial tolerances. I can field strip it without issue now. I just picked up the thumb safety one for my wife, it had zero issues field stripping and assembling from the start.

I have the recoil spring issue, mine won't compress at all, so I can't put it back together. Smith & Wesson is sending me a new recoil spring assembly.

I like the way you explain both the good and the bad points without bias. Thank you. Good review!

Same issue with mine. Hits left and same slide jam initially. Ran great after that though.

Looks like another good option for deep carry and we can't be mad at that. Meaty hands beware!

I'm from the North and enjoy your Southern drawl. Tying to get my wife to try it also. PS - My Sig 100 grain ammo tends to spit back at me also.

To be fair the OG Bodyguard is a snubby revolver so it's also a completely different gun than the OG 380. And the ejector pivot thing is not absolutely mandatory. You can also just pull the trigger to take off the slide just like a glock. The ejector just pushes the seer down so that the striker isn't held up, same as pulling the trigger. I had no issues with the slide holdback when just handling it. I do have an issue with riding the slide release though and no getting holdback on empty. It's just really sensitive to being touched at all.

@@rushthezeppelin Yes. The Bodyguard models were originally the shrouded hammer J frame models. Then in 2014 they released the polymer Bodyguard 38 revolver. The Bodyguard name has been around, much like the M&P name, which was also originally a revolver. My point was that the Bodyguard 380 2.0 was nothing like the original Bodyguard 380. Usually when you add a version number you are saying it is an upgrade on a previous design. That is not the case with the Bodyguard 380 2.0.

same as every video i have watched, hits to the left. a lot of people say it was their front sight that was not centered.

Smith & Wesson and third party companies are DRAGGING ASS producing all the goodies for this firearm: lasers, additional 10 & 12 round mags, drums😂, holsters etc. None of these things are necessary, just my preference 💯

My 12 round magazine would not load. I contacted them and they are going to replace it. The bad news is 2 to 4 weeks wait and I had to send the old magazine back and I have to mail it back at my expense

@@takelso That doesn't seem right. I am really surprised they would make you do that. They used to be really good about customer service.

@@Preacher357 They do that, so people aren't trying to get free magazines, and they examine the defective magazine to see what improvements can be made, what line of manufacturing made it, what shift, etc. They should have sent a return authorization slip and pre-paid label you print out.

I saw a video from Old English outfitters and they had the problem with that too and they drifted the front sight. You didn't have to go much and they had two of them come in that they had it had to move the sights on course somebody out there is saying you shouldn't have to do nothing to it because we monitor technology. They have a machine to center the sites but they're the old adage. When you got a human and involved in it, you could have a failure. In other words, the machine might be right on the nose, but there's a human element. You have a nice day. Be safe
