I have the Model 60 which is the stainless steel model which I like.

Your observations about this revolver are spot on. I have a similar model 36 no dash. It is a square butt, and came to me with a wood Hogue stock on it. That stock is longer so I can get my pinky on it, but even thinner. It has an exposed backstrap. That thin stock makes the web bite while shooting even worse. My hands are large enough that I have to break my grip to get my finger in and out of the trigger guard. When shooting I have to be careful of my thumb placement, because they can interfere with my trigger finger coming back far enough to fire the gun. I shoot it because I have it, not because I like to. It isn't a particularly useful or practical thing for me to own.

How does the 642 conceal/shoot for you compared to the 36 snub?

The 642 is my last line of concealment, generally worn if I’m dressed very lightly or well. It is such a burden to shoot, especially with +P. The Mod 36 is enjoyable to shoot. However it’s a chonk and weighs my belt down quite a bit.
