I am a very senior short- statured man who has become sensitive to recoil and has lost some strength as time went by. I quit shooting my 9 mm's because of the recoil and pain. My shooting buddy bought this pistol and talked me into shooting it. I was totally amazed. The recoil was minimal and there was no pain. I immediately bought the polymer version last week and have put 300 rounds through it so far. It is a delight to shoot and I am back to the 9mm again. Either one of these two guns is a real winner.

Extremely happy with mine so far! Honestly the looks, factory port, and aluminum frame sold me. I have the PDP SF Match and it is my favorite, but it’s a competition gun/range toy. The aluminum M&P is light enough to carry and performance falls between the PDP and a Glock, so it’s a good dual purpose gun. I also had to pickup the Bodyguard 2.0. S&W really put out bangers this month!

💪🇺🇸 Smith&Wesson 🇺🇸💪. It's a sweet pistol. I actually went out to my feild and thru out 400 rounds today on some drills. 👌. I use those 18 by 24 spatter bust ( 3) gun person targets to shoot at. Set my targets at 30 feet. I was shooting at the hands of all three in the target. Their fingers were. Gone. This is a SUPER accurate pistol. I think Sunday I'll do some more and this time. Even during my shooting on the mo, e drills on shooting walking forward and backward out from 30 feet. I was still with a 10-inch diameter circle on my paper targets. I just really started laughing on how well it shoots. I look forward to what's next from their M&P line. Check out tactical development grips. They have some stick on silicon carbide grips that basically just put texture where there is none on this gun. It also comes with a really thin piece of double sided tape that goes under the front strap and keeps it from moving around. Overall made the grip way better than it even was. Great review, I have about 1000 rounds through mine so far and I agree with everything you said. Coming from an MR920P, which I know you love, I think I like this more and would take it over a SS pistol at this point. Simply because it feels so much better in the hands which allows me to shoot it a little better, even though I do think the MR920P does shoot maybe slightly flatter.

Good review. Seems like a winner but for me I am happy with my XR920P and now CR920XP. I don’t need the extra weight of the metal EDC. @@HuntFishShootChannel Not at all, I've been subscribed for about a year give or take. I've never been a fan of any M&P, so I thought there's better time than the present to take my shot at another bandwagoner OEM.
@HuntFishShootChannel2 ай бұрын
Ok I just wanted to make sure because the XR920P is a better gun, and shoots flatter, i prefer it, but for those which do not like Shadow or Glock pistols, this may be the best option!
@drkcyd12 ай бұрын
Since this gun is the EXACT same weight as the polymer version (but more than 2x the price) all the metal frame does is transfer additional recoil to the shooter since its far more rigid than its polymer counter part. Remember its an aluminum alloy, NOT a steel frame, so there is no additional weight vs the polymer version. A lot of these guns are having problems with the slide locking open with rounds left in the magazine, that seems to be a hit or miss, but I imagine the manufacturer fixes those guns for free?
@HuntFishShootChannel2 ай бұрын
Haven’t experienced that. Also I’ll counter the idea the rigid alloy frame transfers recoil and in fact the lack of flex allows you to clamp down and maintain a better grip under recoil. The gun also costs 250 dollars more than the polymer, not twice as much.
@tyleryork60712 ай бұрын
Polymer i believe vibrates more than metal. For example try a polymer handle axe/hammer vs metal you'll notice the difference in your hands. Some slow mo of polymer shows flex in frames. Although not all created equal. I think metal absorbs and handles recoil better.
@HuntFishShootChannel2 ай бұрын
@tyleryork6071 I gotta be real clear, we own nearly every single metal frame striker gun on the market and every single one shoots smoother than their polymer counterparts. I find I am able to really grip the shit out of them more.

Peter… the light is on there for usage with the holster. I have shot it both ways and it has little to no change. A weapon light on a handgun made for defensive purposes makes sense.

I was looking at a DD but didn’t because of the price and that they argued against abolishing the ATF. Then I was looking at SOLGW and was really excited but now I’m hesitant because I found out the Mike Mihalski has assaulted his mother and physically and verbally lashed at police. I understand he is one of the largest supporters of Law Enforcement but I still don’t know what to do. A few people I know have a many issues with BCM customer service so in the end I really have no idea which AR to buy.

I am honestly amazed at how many times the word Glock is mentioned in pistol reviews. Glock is just another gun in a whole list of guns, but somehow still the benchmark. I look forward to a day when I don't have to look at a gun review and not confuse it with a versus video, where everyone has to compare it to a Glock. Overall, a good video, but please go back and listen to how many times you mention Glock in a S&W gun review.
