Thank you. This showed exactly what I needed to see without 10 minutes of rambling before hand. Perfect instruction!

The little clips on each side of the slide are a pain in the ass to press in and pull down at the same time. Great video. Simple....to the point.

Thank you so much for this video. I was never shown how to do this step by step. I always felt like an idiot when I had to take it to a gunsmith just to have them disassemble it for me for cleaning. I ruined my fingernails multiple times trying all night to get it off after the safety check before realizing I need to pull the trigger to be able to get it off. None of them were much help showing me how to do it because they did it so damn fast. Again, thank you and great tutorial!

Thank you all who have tuned in and offered positive feedback, I had no idea this video would get this many views and responses, and I am beyond grateful and humbled. If I started a separate channel that offered entry level no frills instructions to field stripping popular firearms, cleaning, maintenance, etc how many of you would tune in?
@TheGhostdude994 жыл бұрын
I'd tune in! I'm new to the gun world just started picking it up at a hobby. It's really helpful to learn the basics in a quick easy manner! If you have a bersa thunder 380 I'd love to see a video of field stripping that from you

I suggest anyone with this firearm to consider upgrading to an extended takedown level. There pretty cheap, about $10, and it will make future field strips a lot easier. The stock takedown level sits too flush to the frame of the firearm, which makes engaging it pretty tough.
@lyfsabych3 жыл бұрын
Thank you. Is there one you'd recommend? I can't get that thing to disengage for the life of me.

Sad thing is it ain’t that simple if you have a model with the stupid magazine disconnect feature. They have a dead trigger without the magazine in so to pull the trigger and release the sear for field strip a magazine must be in. I’ll never understand how that is a safety feature

What level does the spring go on seems like there's a thin one and a thicker level.
@Keyboardwarrior69963 жыл бұрын
Thicker one when you put the spring back in slide it at angle and it will sit perfectly as it before you too it out
@thomaskilmer39132 жыл бұрын
Just wanted to say that this is a phenomenal pistol for the price. Had it for a little over a year now and honestly 2000 rounds with no issues, other than the trigger being sloppy. But what do you expect for a 300 dollar gun. Thanks for the video
@brycemorgan67082 жыл бұрын
Put an apex trigger in it. Though I’d take it to a gun smith because the trigger will need some work depending on the tolerances inside your gun

I have never come across a striker, fired pistol. That’s as difficult to take down as this one. It seems so simple but instead, it is very problematic. My Glocks are much easier and disassemble the same way.

For the love of G-D, please get an aftermarket takedown lever from NDZ Performance Parts. Smith's is so pathetically small it'll chew up your fingernails and make a grip on the lever near-impossible. You can easy install NDZ's yourself.
