Everyone knows how glorified symbols male lions are for the tufts of fur around their necks, but there’s something deeply maternal about a lioness. Fierce yet delicate. Unwavering and cautious.. yet so bold. The very backbone of the pride. They have even been known to nurse other species and will fight till their last breath to save their offspring. For that, they deserve their own title of recognition.

@@yehldyehld Well, in Lion prides females are the primary the hunters and providers. They are also better hunters than their male counterparts. It's amazing how a brand new, new born within seconds learn to walk and in more seconds already know its in danger and should run
@huldu3 ай бұрын
Pretty certain they learn to flee from their parents as this is true for most mammals. You often see very peculiar behaviour from newborn animals! They're often confused to what is going on and follow the mother/herd but *if* they're left behind they often freeze and look around completely ignoring the predator. To fear is something you either learn or something you survived and gained experience from. For example snakes are very dangerous in most parts of the world but newborns do not know this so it's something that they are "taught" to fear when encountered. Also snakes being snakes is scary in itself just like certain colors on insects which you quickly learn the hard way are to be left alone.

ShaylaLovesArt [Taurtis09]] -- yea multiple times you can see the lion expelling air from its mouth and crinkling her nose after smelling the fresh-born. Then the lion rubs her face and neck on the baby similar to the way lions rub themselves on animal feces to mask their own odor. There does seem to be some companion on the lions part considering she was gentle with it, but that doesn’t seem to be the initial plan because I doubt she would’ve fought, risked injury, and wasted energy to capture it. I believe it was the fresh vagina-juice that soured her tastebuds initially. And then I assume the baby grew on her. After all, it didn’t flee or struggle as prey animals always do. In fact, it was friendly toward the lion and I think she liked that. Lions, like most cats, are social and highly affectionate (especially between females and babies). I wonder if the power of vagina-juice has saved the lives other fresh-borns. Maybe it doubles as a defense mechanism similar to skunks-butt.

I think that lioness might be Kamunyak, She adopted six different antelopes over a course of time, This must be the last one she adopted that she abandoned and that was eventually reunited with it's mother, The first antelope is the one that lasted the longest with her and is the one that got killed and eaten by another male lion, The other four antelopes she adopted either died of starvation or escaped from her, The area the particular lioness was from gave her name Kamunyak and her name meant she was the blessed one
