A lot of people don't realize how hard it is to keep stuff like this maintained as well, I've been in the community long enough to know that finding a bot let alone is hard enough, I've heard stories and I'm seeing the ways things have been collected over the years and put in smitty's, and I can say that this is not only an amazing restoration effort but the hard work of a dedicated fan, you won't find any coolness or awesomeness in any CEC location today nearly as much as it is here, I hope this place stays around for such a long time, definitely a landmark for the fandom, but not only that, I think even people who aren't in the CEC and rock-afire fanfom will still find this as a nostalgic walkthrough.

I’m 44 and I had a chance to see the Rockafire Explosion at Showbiz Pizza when I was a kid. I have a very vivid memory of sneaking up to the curtain of the stage with a friend and peaking behind the curtain. All I saw was the gorilla figure with his gold jacket on sitting there kind of slumped forward. Then a we heard a sound like an air compressor or something and the gorilla moved ever so slightly. It kind of spooked us but excited us at the same time. We ran back to our seats, lol. This was in northeast Texas. It was awesome and it’s a memory I will treasure my whole life.

I still have my stuff from birthday when I was little(I’m 40 now) from showbiz. Napkin, plates , hat. This was life back then.

I'm too young to have experienced these characters when they were in their prime, but I'm sure I'd have loved them. Even as a modern teen I'm able to love and appreciate how charming these old models are and desperately wish they weren't being phased out of places like CEC :(

You have no idea! What set it apart during its prime was the lighting and dark show rooms. It made the show look “alive” if maintained properly. I spent lots of birthdays there as a kid in the 90s Good times..

I was a kid through the 70's into the 80's so I was able to experience both and then brought my own kid to Chuck E Cheese all the time as he grew up (he's a teenager now), this was more than amazing to watch, so awesome! Thank you for sharing, how did he acquire all this stuff?! He has SO MUCH memorabilia and I couldn't believe all those animatronics work just like the old days, unbelievable and so awesome.

Well after 15 years now they have all come from an assortment of places. The Rockafire I bought directly from the Creator Aaron Fechter in Orlando. The King and Beagles came from Oklahoma. Most of the Chuck E Cheese group came from California. A few other assorted pieces from Texas. So I've been all over the country just about to get these guys all assembled and in one building. Most of the memorabilia are ebay finds.... with a few flea markets mixed in..

Neat- I discovered this channel through your Rock-a-fire factory visit, so this kind of brings me back. The character design on these guys really is sheer terror. No wonder FNAF is a thing- the scariest parts of the face designs are very similar!

So, being 54 I grew up with Showbiz in Indianapolis, IN. As a kid I thought they were the coolest, then CEC came along and I thought THEY were the coolest, either way it's part of most of our childhoods and it's fun to see it preserved...thanks Jacob!!

If you're still in Indy, I've got a private Rockafire setup in pendleton 😁

I'd love to go to this place someday! The guy that runs Smitty's seems to care way more than the Chuck E Cheese company themselves!
