Just use a bolt and nylon locking nut instead of those rivets. The rivets are idiotic and will make removal a pain in the ass

What if I don’t want to use the rivets? What size drill bit do I need to drill holes through and what size bolts to use?

Home Depot has a variety of small bolt and drill bit sizes to match. You’ll need to get little creative:)
