Hello Vikings! We are back building in Valheim with another build challenge. Today's objective is to build a Small Simple Cabin in the Black Forest with only 600 Wood, and 100 Core Wood. Hope you enjoy!

Love it! I think the corner fireplace is my favorite part! I love that it's clearly part of the kitchen but also has a nice sitting area on the other side and you'd still enjoy it from the dining area. I want to live in this cabin!! 😜

Thanks Lancelot! I agree I think it really fits nicely there! Totally get the benefit of two faves of the fireplace opening into the house rather than just a single face which I like. Totally wish I had a cabin like this haha 😂

No fish racks? No bunks??? Who ARE you?!?! Suuuper cosy build though, that little kitchen is adorable. Weirdly one of my favourite parts is the indoor storage/wood/tool section; something about that is just 🤌

Thanks Basic! I think it’s a really great way to bring the survival builders into the fold for some of these designs. Sometimes we can get a little carried away with dev commands 😂 doesn’t take a lot to make something that looks nice though!

Love the way it turned out! Liked the use and the restrictions. Thoughts on a decorating challenge to restrict what you can use for decorating and the amount of materials? I have tried this and there are times where I think I would love to place a butcher block table, however I don’t have silver, so I somehow fake it with a butcher knife and wood tower shield.

Honestly this might be a fun twist on it as well! We could do a challenge specially focused on decoration where we focus on interiors… I like it! Perhaps in the future I’ll put together a video of that style. Thanks for the ideas!

@@smittysurvival yep, you could build a building without restrictions but then restrict your decorating budget! It will almost force a restriction on the building size. Or maybe now using building rotations, purposefully damaging parts of the structure becomes integral to the decoration.

How do you "fly" while building?

Valheim has "console commands" that you can enable (can do it on both PC and Xbox). Lots you can do with console commands. Some good tutorials on YT if you're curious
