So I've always loved the asthetic of traditional knives and have been recently looking into Rough Ryder. Which are budget friendly and thanks to you fine people at SMKW I got a good review and recommendation. Ordered the large moose, micarta trapper(have an old timer, and it sucks) and put a notification for a jumbo stockman through you guys, really appreciate these review videos. Can't wait to get them!

I'm seeing better quality from Rough Ryder than I am most w.r. case knives. I like how open you are about the actual blade steel instead of coming up with some silly name like trusharp or surgical steel.

I'm a little late to this video but the knife you are holding is a steal at that price. A true pocket knife. Reminds of when I was boy and got my first pocket when I was in the boy scouts. I got a couple of older model knives from granddad when he passed away. These knives are beautiful sir. Sad so many dismiss these in favor the fidget spinner style knives. Nothing wrong with that but I feel folks are missing out when comes to this style knife.

I have three of the High Plains, including the Moose, great knives. Good fit and finish. It's not in this series, but I really like the bow trapper pattern. 👍

I think highly about RR knives. Their F&F is fair, their packajing is very good, and they never surprise you as CASE folders sometimes do. I mean, CASEs cost about three to five times what a RR would do; however, the number of cases (no pundit intended) in which CASEs do not have a good F&F (non-centering blades, blades which get scratched from one another, unmatched color/size scales, bad scale coloring, cheap packaging) is surprising for an all-american product. The only bad thing I can say about RRs is about the disputable taste of some of their series. But that one can avoid easily.

Really like that knife, looks great. Would be amazing with the copper fittings and coated blades like the backwoods bushcraft series, give it a real old west look. Oh and could you showcase the red worm grove trapper at some point?

Beautiful knife. I've watched this video five times in the past two days....everyone here knows what that means #addtocart This knife got me to head over to smkw and start checking out all of the available RRs. I now fear for my wallet.
