Man, you really don't appreciate what you have until it's gone. I'd do anything to go back to the Gen 9 meta at this point, the Gen 12 meta is that much of a toxic clown show. MegaMax Quagsire STILL has not been suspected, same with Mr. Crime, Regisoul is more of an obnoxious spinblocker than Gholdengo ever was, and the new Fusion mechanic is even more busted than Tera. The fact that Mega Rayquaza, Zacian-Crowned, and Calyrex-Shadow are languishing in PUBL should really be a sign as to how bad things have gotten.

We could have fused it with Weezing with NG so it had no ability, and it _still_ would be outclassed in ZZU by that new route-one bug I can never remember the name of. Also, super lame that only Pikachu gets a MegaMax form while Raichu got no love as usual. (Also, pretty crazy how despite all the power creep, Incineroar is still #1 in usage in doubles)

There are so many layers of Greatness embebbed into this. It speaks on a personal level to me. I remember, oh times so distant, my favorite Pokémon, Donphan, never being represented in any way. And then, Game Freak, by a stroke of destiny, made him good. Two remarkable beasts, of ivory and iron. And the Mammoth, what incredible strenght it posseses. Broken stats and moves. But, reminiscent of their roots, our real life Proboscideans, it's strenght is accompanied by a heart. Something a new threat, introduced in this new generation, the 1000th horseman of the apocalypse, lacks. And the Mammoth hard counters this Golden Menace. Man, this is great. I love elephants. And hate Gholdengo.
