You need to replace all the batteries in all of your smoke detectors, so they wont chirp for years.

Replacing good batteries wastes money, and doesn't solve any problem when the chirping is actually solved by cleaning the smoke detector. Replacing the battery in the chirping smoke detector is a good first step. If that doesn't stop the chirping, though, and something else (such as cleaning) does stop the chirping, you can reinstall the "old" battery and leave the other smoke detectors' batteries in place. If replacing the battery does stop the chirping, and all the batteries are getting old, that's the case when it may make sense to replace all the batteries, but it's not what I would do. One might also keep records of maintenance. Battery changes, oil changes in cars, etc. There's probably an app for that.
