Hey man, just wanna say that your brine method and recipe are best I've ever had. Making my third batch of chicken wings using this recipe and all my family can say is how amazing they are. Thanks for sharing this recipe, im gonna be using it for the rest of my life, and so will my kids and family! Cheers

Just want to add, we cook them in the oven at 400f until crispy and fat rendered, works perfect.

I am obsessed with, extra crispy chicken wings! I fry my wings in peanut oil. Double fry.

yeah!!! peanut oil works by far the best!!!

I have made this exact brine for wings and it really makes the wings stay juicy and helps with a really good flavor! On a side note chicken wings as an appetizer aren’t exactly healthy so the air fryer doesn’t help!

Would you recommend baking powder over potato starch for extra crispy?

Can you use Himalayan sea salt?
@Jessedog119 ай бұрын
I've tried both- coarse kosher salt works better for me. Himalayan comes out more salty- but maybe thats what some people like.

@Jessedog11 when I do it for steaks alot of the extra salt gets rinsed off when I marinade. Wasn't sure if this was different. But thanks for the information.

its a brine not a marinade, Brine s at first extract moisture due to the salt from the meat, then after many hours it Absorbs the water and flavor of the brine. like a dead body that bloats if found days later the ocean. its best explained By Alton Brown of Good eats. he explains brine perfectly. you should look it up. he explains the science behind brining. I really like how everyone shares their experience. this is how we learn. and i have learned a whole lot from others. @@jerometruitt2731

Large supermarkets should carry Morton Kosher salt, no?

why aluminum free? is that preference?

Probably because you’re not supposed to eat aluminum.
