SMOKEY EYES FOR BEGINNERS - MAKE-UP TUTORIAL

I find the best way to over come this problem is to not use a kohl pencil around the eye because as your eyes get oily the kohl moves try using a slightly more waterproof liner like mac powerpoint or technokohl liner. Unfortunately I find these liners not so good for the water line so try and use your kohl pencil in the water line but put it on once then leave it for a while and put another coat of it on this normally helps it to stay put. It depend what i an using it for, i love mac pro lash and pro longlash if i want to go natural but if i want to be full on i love zoomlash. i cant use anything with a big wind because i always get it all over my eye. YSL do really nice mascaras to but they cost alot and dry out abit fast xx

if its a 4 palette i would go for Vanilla for the brow bone brule for the socket, wedge for the crease and embark for the lash line those are all matt, if you want shine shroom, era, twinks and maybe patina x

You could try a waterproof eyeliner, They are harder to apply but dont smudge. Try MAC Powerpoints.

I think having the correct tools will make the make up much easier but start off with just getting a couple the most important ones, dont spend all your money. I like the 217 eyeshadow brush £13, 190 foundation brush £25, 266 angle brush £12. i hope this helps x

it really depends how dark the eyeshadow is your using and how much it tends to fall down, there is no wrong or right way x

sometimes it depends how oily your eyes get, if they are really oily painterly paint pot from mac makes a good primer x

This is really really nice! I love your tutorials, your make up is classy and beautiful, not tacky at all. How can you do this smokey eye look if you have small eyes, with eyelids nearly "covered" by your eye crease? Even with professionnal YSL brushes I can't do it because the space between my eyelashes and my eyebrows is so small, I end up looking like a panda! :(

love the look, i think thats the best one i have seen, not to much for the older ladies, like myself. you are right about the bottom colour, it looks terrible if there is too much, which in the past, i use to be heavy handed and now i know better. sometimes less is best, i think.

have just been onto the MAC website to see how much it would cost to purchase these cosmetics in order to complete the look, i had to improvise as some products are discontinued or out of stock and it totalled to £57.50! a lot of money for a student like myself.
