The Ed Sullivan Show was a television variety program that aired on CBS from 1948-1971. For 23 years it aired every Sunday night and played host to the world's greatest talents. The Ed Sullivan Show is well known for bringing rock n' roll music to the forefront of American culture through acts like Elvis Presley, The Beatles, and The Rolling Stones. The entertainers each week ranged from comedians like Joan Rivers and Rodney Dangerfield, to Broadway stars Julie Andrews and Richard Burton, to pop singers such as Bobby Darin and Petula Clark. It also frequently featured stars of Motown such as The Supremes, The Temptations, Stevie Wonder and The Jackson 5. The Ed Sullivan Show was one of the only places on American television where such a wide variety of popular culture was showcased and its legacy lives on to this day.

Only 45.800 views for an outfit that not only is legendary but downright influential? I mean, they not only were the bosses within American Black music, then just packed with towering excellence, but in the white mainstream too they were just bombarded with admiration and respect (Dylan was famously asked who, in his opinion, was the greatest American poet, and he answered in all seriousness and without irony: “Smokey Robinson!”), and across the pond in England were idolised by people like the Beatles and the Rolling Stones (and the Animals, and the Hollies, etc.), who covered them extensively and pinched their vocal harmonies wholesale. And this great video gets only a few thousand views? I know that intelligence and good taste are extinct but, Jesus Christ on a bike!........

Gio Curcetti, i think its because you are from Italietta. this was the era where Whites didn't allow him to use the bathroom in these premises. In the exact same venue, whites sat front and Black people sat on the back separated and distanced. when you compliment him, virulent racial animosity of 99% of whites was very real and in our faces.
