We had a yellow lab that was a great outdoor dog. She was well behaved in the canoe, and never wandered very far away on the trails. A call or a whistle would bring her quickly to my side. Labs can be wonderful companions.

Labs are the best! In my opinion they make the best canoe dogs. Mine took to it right away. Nice video, thanks for sharing.

Lol, Zora won't drink clean water either but she doesn't mind that dirty city creek water one bit! The umbrella is a good call.

Did you say Smokey is afraid of the water. That is a first for a Lab. most of them you can't keep out of the water.. Great Training video Matt. you guys did it the right way. Smokey took it like a champ... Gooood Boy!

Our family has had a lot of labs and he is the first one to not jump in every time! Apparently he will swim after ducks though. He was a great passenger!
