It was interesting that this is what Ultimate Nick Fury was supposed to look like before they've changed his appearance after Samuel L. Jackson in the Ultimates. What's more interesting is according to Mark Millar, Ultimate Fury was originally going to be modeled after Morgan Freeman. What could've been!

Weapon X being a part of SHIELD is interesting. I kinda hope they do a similar thing in the MCU but with HYDRA - retcon the HYDRA base from Age of Ultron where Quicksilver and Wanda were held into a Weapon X facility though that doesn't really work with the other stuff they were doing there.

The Ultimate Universe can be way too edgy, and poorly written at times. It makes some truly baffling choices with some characters. But I have a huge soft spot for it. I love this imprint, warts and all. ... At least the ones near the start, and near the end of the line. The late 00s books not so much.
