The song reminds me of a girl (my fiance) long ago in mid 80's her name was Smiso Buthelezi living at Mkuze (in South Africa KwaZulu) she was beautiful inside and outside very humble women, the story is I loved her but it took almost a year to convince her how much I loved her, she left me with a vacuum that no one could fill it up, it was difficult to accept that she was no more, she died in hospital. My her soul rest in peace.

@@jorgeluismelara4191 The song is about a young man’s long-standing unrequited love toward the girl next door and his neighbor of 24 years, Alice. The protagonist had seen a limousine parked at Alice’s home, learning through mutual friend Sally that she is moving away, and begins to reflect on childhood memories and his friendship with Alice, and becomes heartbroken as he sees Alice get inside the limousine. As he watches the car drive out of sight, the protagonist feels regret about two things: First, Alice leaving without explanation. Second, that in 24 years, he never took the opportunity to express his feelings for her

--> The song is about a young man's long-standing crush on Alice, the girl next door and neighbour of 24 years, which is left unrequited after she moves away. The protagonist had seen a limousine parked at Alice's home and begins to reflect on childhood memories and his friendship with Alice, and becomes heartbroken as he sees Alice get inside the limousine. She didn't die, she just moves away (:

This song appears to depict a man who is in his mid twenties, who has lived at the same address for most of, if not all of his life, so he's still living at his parent's house, in his mid twenties (this is in the 70's). When he was a small child, he had a friendship with the girl who lived next door (Alice), who is presumably of a similar age. Since that time, their friendship seems to have cooled to the point that Alice scarcely even notices him anymore or possibly actively avoids him, trying not to catch his eye. However, he remains completely besotted by Alice despite the fact that he has no knowledge of what appears to be transpiring in Alice's life - it may well be that Alice has taken deliberate steps to keep her life as secret and at as arm's length from him as possible. What transpired in the intervening years, why did their there childhood relationship deteriorate so dramatically? The song does not say, but clearly Alice has still not reconciled the issue. We are not told why Alice is leaving, is it to get married, or is she simply trying to escape from her unwanted and suffocating admirer? Certainly Alice appears to be trying slip away without fanfare, having not previously informed her lifelong neighbours of her moving plans. On leaving, Alice, still barely even acknowledges the protagonist, clearly there is some history between them that we are not made aware off. Alice did however, inform another local, Sally, who in turn is besotted with the protagonist. But upon informing him of this, our hero scarcely even acknowledges her feelings towards him, he himself, still besotted with Alice. However you look at it, this guy is obsessive and creepy. No wonder Alice wants nothing to do with him and is moving away, without notice and without telling him where or why she is going - she is probably concerned he will attempt to follow her or worse! He might feel at a loss, now that the subject of his obsessions is moving away. But imagine what Alice's life has been like for the last twenty four years, poor girl. No wonder she never acknowledges him. What a creepoid! She probably has a restraining order.
