I love pulled ham. I've made one vert similar with apricot instead of pineapple it was fantastic. I've made many of your recipes and haven't made a bad one yet. Joe, you need to do a pullled turkey video. Same process (remove the skin) 2 Gringos Cupacabra Cluckalucious seasoning, gazed with homemade cranberry sauce, fantastic.

I am ABSOLUTELY doing this on Sunday. That being said, can you recommend a smoker for me, Joe? I do not need anything quite as big as the one in this video; it's just me and the wife. Nothing extravagant, since I am not too wealthy these days!

Check out Lonestar Grillz. They have a smaller smoker but it’s only like $200 less than the 42”. Tell them Smokin’ Joe sent you. lonestargrillz.com/collections/pellet-smokers-coming-soon

There is a bbq restaurant here in Ga. that uses ham instead of pork shoulder for their pulled pork. I think the name of it is called Fresh Air Barbecue. They were the reason that I have ham as my 2nd favorite pulled pork, ribs are my favorite pork to pull and eat shoulder is 3rd. Nice cook on your ham.
@SmokinJoesPitBBQАй бұрын
That’s amazing. The only downfall of doing this is it takes a really long time to get it tender. This was a huge ham too so that was a huge factor on the time. Thanks for watching 👍🏼

I never thought about doing that with a ham. I was always one to pull a pork shoulder between 190-195F so it can be sliced for sandwiches.

@95SLEАй бұрын
Looks good and the whole hams are at a deep discount locally. going to try this. Picked up a smoked ham, shank portion, today. Since it is not a whole ham, I was going to smoke it in a shallow foil pan with parchment paper covering the foil surface and the exposed cut side on the paper., do you think this will come out close to your ham using the foil pan? The ham was at 99 cents a pound so picked up a small 9 Lb ham.
